Touché on the map size, but the fact remains that: they played for 7 minutes like they were alone vs the computers. Their armies met each other directly for the first time and began attacking each other at 7:22. One side won in exactly 15 seconds, ran across half of the "big huge" map in 30 seconds and fatally crippled the enemies base in 40 seconds by taking out the hero spawn building. Unless you like to watch creeping, you could have saved time by just reading my description. SC ROCKS!

The problem is when one is working on upgrading his/her's hero then they usally neglect their base camp. cause the hero usally divrts the players maximum attention. the same thing happened to the nightelf guy.

So in this game, you don't even play against the other guy - you just fight hordes of NPC monsters?

It just HELPS to fight the different level creeps around the important areas of the map (gold mines,shops...) because you get experience and items for your heroes. Other than that your choice would be to either rush or just sit while building an army I guess, and that's just boring.

LOL running units to safty might be called "micro" in warcraft, but not in SC. 2 lurkers can wipe out 10 marines in 2 hits, and yet 3 marines and a medic with good MICRO can kill 2 lurkers.
