Okay, I really don't understand why people are baggin' on Rania. If I'm not mistaken, Bellydancing is a form of DANCE and dance is a form of art....since when does art have clear and cut instructions on creativity?
this great song of John Bilezikjian would have been any good bellydancer's delight. it begs for grace, passion and emotion that Rania is unable to articulate. it's almost she doesn't feel the song at all. and the impression is as if she aimed to show a bunch of disjointed moves as part of her fitness video.
she could truly get some very helpful cues from Bozenka's spellbindingly elegant and smooth dancing. so her out, Rania...
This woman doesn't know what belly dancing is! she makes me go to sleep in seconds ,you can tell she doesn't feel the music and practise's a routine 20 times before getting on stage if u put her on the stop at a function she'd fail !

rania's ok. on most of these exercise performances she does very good. the be You tv performance, was beyond just uncoordinated but stiff and awkward. I wonder sometimes if it's the same person.

yall do realise this is avideo of her exerciseing in belly dance fashion right? when doing arobics while danceing its more of a target an area style you should see her turkish and other dances that are not ar rigid!
it is stiff, definitely seems likes someone just going through the motions.... it seems like she tries to compensate for her lack of fluidity by overarticulating her arms/shoulders... its awkward i feel
She knows in perfection all the steps and moves... in my opinion, she needs to be a little more graceful, I mean soft in between moves... you can feel a break between them.

a differ by you when you say that rania has no grace for dance, for me she dances really good although she is not better as many as the bdss. In Egypt, Turkey and other countries are amazing dancers and believe after i see them i don't miss bdss for nothing. And I dance too, but you know? for me the important thing is that dance has no country, no race and everyone from any country can perform this style, so enjoy it . ! )
Ok so Rania is one of the worst belly dancers out there. Her costumes are always gorgeous, and she relies on them too much. SHE IS TERRIBLE. Bad bad bellydancing. (minute 4:21 was cool though... abysmal dancer. shame on her for claiming she is a bellydancer and making dvds teaching other girls how to be terrible at it
I think part of the problem is that she never smiles in this clip. Belly dancing for me is about joy. I don't see that in this dancing. I'm not trying to be mean, but there is nothing in her eyes.
I agree... I'm sure she knows the moves, and she's in wonderful shape, but she just isn't very graceful. Everything she does seems to scream, "Unfocused overkill."

Rania has a magnificent taste in costumes and has a fantastic body... but she seems to just do the moves not feel them... see what you guys think of my friend christa in a couple of her videos! "Cairo on the Coast- Drum Solo- Belly Dance" is one of them, but my favorite would have to be the lantern dance she does! sooooo amazing how she moves!

She's a great fitness teacher, but she doesn't make you feel anything when she dances. I love this outfit, its one of the prettiest bellydance outfits.

Oh! I know this lady! She comes out on my Neena & Veena DVDs as an aerobics instructor. Her body is weird. Too muscular for my taste. She reminds me of the bellydancers I saw last week at a club. Their facial expressions were: "Just doing my job!" And this woman has the same expression on her face! The costume won't make you look good, the facial mood must show it too! You have to look like you like dancing!

Sans music, this is one of Rania's better performances that I've seen yet. I agree with others that have commented on the stiffness of her movements and vacant facial expressions, but in this video, her movements are more fluid. She still needs to work on her choreography, though. Perhaps she'll improve with time and practice.
yea i agree... i too thought she was really good when i first started bellydancing and then i saw other like Jillina, Dina, Bozenka... just go and look at others. OMG Rachel Brice! It's actually quite amazing that she's become so popular... hmm. Enough said.
I must say I cant even do the spinning in succession and I have danced for four years. I must ask her ( if possible) now to do that without throwing up down my front!
Her actions in this was alot smoother and enjoyable. Very well done, music aside. ( I prefer to turn the music off and listen to my own tempo, figureing for computer compensation)
This video is a LOT better than the first one of her I watched (the one in the gold outfit with the cabaret drum solo). I think that other video doesn't do her any justice. There are still some things I dislike in this performance, but I do like some parts of it.

she doesn't suck. she dances pretty well, its just that she is kinda stiff, and she doesnt know how to improvise too well. but she still has a lot of skill.
How do you know she didn't receive permission to post this beforehand and forgot to mention it in the description? I do that all the time with videos from musicaxis; post then have to go back 10 minutes later to add it in there. People have the right to prosecute for copyright infringement, but on the other hand, it's hard to think of a better vehicle of getting exposure for a video than YouTube.

I really don't think she sucks..She's very good, maybe not the Best in the human history, but she does deserves some credit ppl! No one can't denied she's very fit! Her skirt looks so beautiful when she twirls.

now to dina vienna , u cant see the god level of ur not hearing the proper music coz u dont know if the moves go well with the music she is performing to..´not realying that just makes u another one of these futile commenters. I like this womans dancing but id rather hear her music than hip drop and drop ! the costume is nice, the moves seem nice we just cant #see them in the proper context. the girl is very pretty aswell

hi. i am from zambia and i hv noticed similaritys of belly dancing to zed bedrum dancing. tho most girls are forbidn to do bedrum dancing in public. just wondering do white people hav a rili sexy type of dance? i.e not borod from another culture

hmm I think most Mediterraneans would be "white" so I guess Arabic Turkish Greek Balkanys dances are all "white" dances, and pretty sexy.. Spanish dances are also sexy, flamenco.. why would all those Europeans and Mediterraneans borrow from other cultures in your opinion? I do not like such discussions on the level of "white girls cant dance" when in fact most Arab girls are white, and many Latinas.. it s racist, too. salam to you

Does anyone know the name of this song? It's incredible !!!! And Rania is SO GOOD !!! For those who said she sucks, they don't know anything abt bellydance,otherwise they would appreciate it. U have NO idea how hard is to dance like her and her rythem is PERFECT !!! I'm jelous!

Sans music, this is one of Rania's better performances that I've seen yet. I agree with others that have commented on the stiffness of her movements and vacant facial expressions, but in this video, her movements are more fluid. She still needs to work on her choreography, though. Perhaps she'll improve with time and practice.

yea i agree... i too thought she was really good when i first started bellydancing and then i saw other like Jillina, Dina, Bozenka... just go and look at others. OMG Rachel Brice! It's actually quite amazing that she's become so popular... hmm. Enough said.

Her actions in this was alot smoother and enjoyable. Very well done, music aside. ( I prefer to turn the music off and listen to my own tempo, figureing for computer compensation)

This video is a LOT better than the first one of her I watched (the one in the gold outfit with the cabaret drum solo). I think that other video doesn't do her any justice. There are still some things I dislike in this performance, but I do like some parts of it.

she doesn't suck. she dances pretty well, its just that she is kinda stiff, and she doesnt know how to improvise too well. but she still has a lot of skill.

How do you know she didn't receive permission to post this beforehand and forgot to mention it in the description? I do that all the time with videos from musicaxis; post then have to go back 10 minutes later to add it in there. People have the right to prosecute for copyright infringement, but on the other hand, it's hard to think of a better vehicle of getting exposure for a video than YouTube.
