there was a racial incident in the European Championship of '96....Davids (the man who scored this goals, with the dreadlocks) was sent home, because of provoking racially abusive language(he refused to eat with white players and wanted only to eat with people of Surinamese descent, as he himself is). coach Guus Hiddink didn't accept this and sent him home. This was 2 years later and I don't think this was still an issue

It wasn't Bogarde who accedentely choked him. It was van Hooydonk. vd Sar blamed Bogarde but he didn't see that it was van Hooydonk. People need to stop the Race thing. That has never been a problem in Holland. If 2 people are putting their arm around your nek pulling....well what would you do. He coudn't breathe. That has nothing to do with Race!!!
