I'm not advocating any particular type of partisan flavor or quorum/majority tally rules; just a vote that counts. Ideally legislation should be direct-count voted on, as well as Supreme Court nominations, but the real issue at hand is merely to get people to think about it as an actionable and requisite reform. Representative democracy is neither.

Good video. I'm with you until the point about people being capable of reasonable group dynamics. I do not believe they/we are YET, and this is the true sticking point.

Yeah, that's kinda why i only gave us Humans the atta-boy of being reasonably intelligent, but not "living up to potential" as it were. We don't work and play well with others, which is a bad thing in a social animal.

I was trying to be positive, though. It's a new thing for me.

Still, direct democracy is the next step, ready or not.

Otherwise it's back to the salt mines for us peasants.

You have a rather bizare way of explaining things that I agree with but the only thing is that we will not have mob rule so thus we need a balance there in which the people rule and the minority not surpressed. such as a more solid legislation.
