If Tom Green had a producer and a budget he could actually make a movie like that stupid District 9 that would be better. And funny way funny and probably just as good special effects and everything. Isn't that shot sort of copied in district 9 when they go up into the spaceship and see all of the aliens kind of laying around and then you have the goofy video camera interviews. That is all vintage Tom green this guy was such a pioneer!
His commentary on the town of St. Paul, Alberta is exactly how I feel. They have this ridiculous attraction, it's not going anywhere, so they're almost forced to market it and brand their commercial development with a UFO or alien theme, but nobody cares. But there's nothing they can do except try to sustain it or the town dies!
@funforalgernon acually our town is rapidly expanding and this isnt a source of income or tourism its just a random structure that does fuck all for the town
Having a good sense of humor is an important part of being a Raelian. Laughing is usually a sign of happiness. And what's the purpose of living if you're not happy?
Whether one defines the Raelian movement as a cult or as a religion, we are what we are. People can point and laugh at us if they want; we don't mind. The important part is that they're laughing. So in some indirect way, we are the source of a little bit of their happiness. In essence, we have succeeded.
Rael teaches that we should be humble and laugh at ourselves, this is very healthy for you us. To me we are not a cult, we don't believe in God, or anything supernatural, we don't live in communes or convents etc. Minority religions are usually just classed altogether as "cults" without any real investigation...

I do not believe in anything supernatural myself but still i don't want to make anyone angry (well... maybe i do... sometimes). You can believe in whatever you want, if you ask me... but just as long as it doesn't hurt anybody.
