  • yep been there just awhile ago before I headed off to 34th street

  • My dad took me on this train and showed me this, it's mad cool.

  • I saw that animation myself while on an inbound N train after Dekalb before the Manhattan Bridge, this is just like the animated ads on MBTA's Red Line from Harvard to Cantral and South Station and Broadway

  • What line is this?

  • A video of the subway artwork that acts as a linear zoetrope showing a sychadelic animation of abstract geometric shapes and cartoon rockets. This artwork is installed in the B/Q subway tunnel that runs between Dekalb Avenue and the Manhattan Bridge. It is amazing that it has just come to light, as it was installed in 1971. Apparently they only just changed the light bulbs!

  • @eddbagenal a professor of mine made this. he is awesome.

  • @eddbagenal It was installed Sept 17, 1980 by Bill Brand. He's a filmmaker and my old professor at Hampshire College. It was heavily tagged and fell into disrepair. It needed lots of TLC, and light bulbs too. I'm hoping people will enjoy it rather than destroy it this time.
