  • I've watched this video loads mate! Great job!!

Hoping to one day be as good as you on the uke! Only been playing a few weeks after years on the guitar.

Anyway, please feel free to take a look at some of my videos (only got one on the ukulele at the minute)

    Anyway, rambling on now haha.

Great song, great voice and perfectly played!!

    Keep it up :)

  • This is amazing!

  • 9 months on; my hat, sir remains off!

  • Fantastic, you're a real talent. Thanks for posting.

  • This is awesome! Totally conveys the mood and feel of the song, while being 100% Uke!

  • The Kiwaya has a very nice sound - did you like it? Was the action good and could you make clear notes in the upper register? Good work - very nice job on the song!

  • @archivestereo Thanks! Yeah, the uke's really good. Action and intonation spot on, nice clear tone. I'm a big Kiwaya fan - my favourite uke is a Kiwaya KTS-7 (I'm a soprano man at heart).

  • tabs pleaseee

  • is a soprano ukelele?

  • @jpablosnm Hi, that one's a Kiwaya concert, which I don't have any more.

  • Thanks for doing that song, it was fantastic!

Thanks for breaking your rules, 'No Beatles' rule and the 'Nothing bigger than a soprano'.

Break the rules you bad boy.

  • could you possibly post the tabs or the chords? Thank you Sir.

  • @ilmatteo95 I'm afraid I don't really know them - I play by ear and don't really know what many chords are called. Sorry.

  • @IanReentrant ah, ok thank you anyway, nice playing by the way!

  • @IanReentrant

  • Who'd have thought this could work on uke. Really good :)

  • Great cover of one of my favorite!

It seems you've been inspired by the Anthology version, am I wrong?

  • Great cover of one of my favorite! Apparently inspired by the Anthology version of the song, al I wrong?

  • Thanks,

I worked it out from watching the youtube video I responded to.

  • Beautiful! Please, make a tutorial! :D

  • Yeah, great syntesis! Only a uke and nothing is missig, drums, arragements, particular notes, this is the way ukulele has to be played! wonderful job!

  • oh and you inspire me also hah!!!!! ofc

  • Your voice and this instrument is perfect for this song omg haha. Also it's awesome seeing someone as big as you playing such a tiny uke, I got one me self hah :D But honestly I think you give inspiration to the bigger guys out there. I got a big friend like you that doesn't think he'll ever play an instrument just cuz hes a footballing big dude. Thisll provem wrong and hopefully inspire him. thanks a ton mate!

  • @LonelyLoverGuy Why, thank you. That's the biggest uke I've got - I've got much smaller ones. Doesn't matter how big you are, they're all perfectly playable.

  • so fine!

  • Brilliant

  • omgoodness, i wanna play like you someday!

    that was amazing :))

  • Thanks all for the ratings and comments - it's appreciated.

  • wow, that was fantastic :)

  • Great version.

  • Very nicely done! Hope you continue to break your rules. Would love to see a lesson on how to play this!

  • awesome

    fantastically played and song.

  • I can't help but enjoy this. It puts a big grin on my face.

  • I really enjoyed this.

  • Sounds just like Steely Dan.

  • @feckcheb Cheeky Gimp!

  • That was outstanding Ian! Awesome!

  • Great stuff, Ian. The Kiwaya sounds good too.

  • Awesome!

  • Superb!

  • Great job!!! that's why rules are meant to be broken.....

  • That was Awesome! You did an Excellent job on that one. Screw your rules. More Beatles!

  • Hell fire that's good!!

Excellent job - and rules ARE made for breaking. no one broke more than the Beatles!

    Thanks for posting!

  • Certainly the best Beatles ukulele cover I have ever heard. Ringo's excellent drumming comes through beautifully. So does the sitar. You also seem to have got all of George Martin's orchestration in there too. I never do Beatle's covers - this is why. Unbelievable. I knew you were good, but ...

  • Excellent version ! You should break rules more often !

  • Awesome chopping! That Kiwaya sounds amazing! faved!

  • Brilliant cover. Makes me question my own "No Beatles" (except yellow submarine for the kids) Rule. Your getting a lot of beautiful sounds out of that uke.

  • Rules are made to be broken (sometimes !). Génial, j'adore cette version. Bravo !

  • just excellent, really, the best.

    what a great take!

  • Fab!

  • Hey that's bloody brilliant! Thank you so much for the dedication, I'm really touched (no not in that way!) I especially love: the Martinesque orchestration (each verse is different), the Ringoesque drum fills, the Johnesque vocal, the Paulesque nostrils and the Georgesque sitar bit. You are super fab. Do more Beatles! Cxx
