This is an R32 engine , its a verry special 6 cylinder , it has a flat 1 piece cylinder heads , the banks are staggered in a 15 degree angle , in fact the cylinderliners are placed in a V shape not the blok itself.

its a 3.2 litre 24valve staggered 6 !!

the engine was first introduced as a 12valve 2.8 litre in the corrado and not even as a sporty engine but it was made for comfort en smooth drivin.

timeline: 2.8 12v , 2.9 12v , 2.9 24v , 3.2 24v (r32) 3.6 24 v fsi (r36)

Not a R32 engine, R32 is a V6, this a straight 4!!

@tuneo nope its a r32 you can see by it having 6 spark plugs and the distinct sound of it and the r32 is not a v6 it still has one head with it having a 15 degree angle between piston shafts, r32 is a vr6 just a special vr6 its a 3.2 intead of a 2.8, v6 and a straight 6 put into one

Certainly it's not a 1.8T, and yes it's not a 4 cylinder....But Not a V6 either!!!!!!

@tuneo No Tuneo this does not have 2 heads. VR6= Vee Row 6 cylinder. It's a staggered 6 cylinder with a 15 degree V inside of the block and one cylinder head. It's about the size of large 4 banger.
