  • The best comedians forever.

  • Ha ha Lol!!!!

  • I'm not a religious person, and yet I hope somehow that these two guys are up there somewhere and aware of the extent of their legacy. The fact that 40-50 years after their passing, people like myself forget the stresses of a working day by coming home and watching brilliant clips like this, is about the highest praise I can muster.

The moments at 0.41 and 1.09 in particular never fail to make me laugh out loud! Truly timeless legends!

  • @stewux Amen to that. And I'm not religious either!

I was still watching them in the early 90s, on VHS, and still look in on them on youtube!

Still make me, and my parents laugh to this day!

  • I Am Weasel song :))

  • name of the episodes?

  • The definitive comedy team. Laurel and Hardy forever!

  • they are timeless and still verry funny !

  • i like the stan and hardy videos with sound

  • The bit at the end is strangely similar to the Three Stooges "Disorder in the Court".

  • Amazing.Beautiful.Superb.

  • "Top that!" I love Oliver Hardy's annoyed expressions and haughty challenge and self-satisfied grin when he thinks he outdid his friend, and Stan Laurel's blank, almost pantomine look. These guys worked so well together.

  • Even though "Pick A Star" (reissued as "Movie Struck" by Astor Pictures in 1947) was supposed to be Rosina Lawrence's "star vehicle" for the studio, Hal Roach decided to add a little "box office insurance" by having Stan and Ollie appear in two brief scenes; this was one of them. However, because those scenes were re-edited into a TV "two-reeler" {"A Day at the Studio"} in the '50s, most people who grew up watching that version believe "Pick A Star" was Stan and Ollie's feature!

  • genius pure genius. two men enjoying their trade. funniest duo ever to grace this earth. will never be forgotten their talent and comedy is timeless.

  • very funny nothing like a bit of original material .

  • Have a great weekend everyone.

Life near Bottessford in the U.K and there is a Pub their dedicated to Laurel and Hardy) Will be visiting it soon hopefully. I think one of Stans relations used to run it but I hope one of you fine diehard fans out there will clarify this for me. thank you.

  • One word: brilliant

  • Totally superb. One of the very few and i mean very few comedies that make me curl up with laughter i have to hide.

  • One of the funniest scenes ever!

  • haha good ! :) i love this guys

  • there is a rumour that they may spruce up the films and use todays colour technology better than the 1990s colourization but i like them to stay vintage looking more atmospheric

  • hahaha i love the way ollie looks at the camara

    classic

  • love it

  • classic!

  • Who are Clara Bow, Douglas Fairbanks,

W C Fields, Rudolph Valentino. Mary Pickford, Freddy Bartholomew, Jack Oakey, Ben Turpin, Lon Chaney,

  • When my generation (babyboomers) are gone no one will know how funny these two were because no one will remember them! Very sad.

  • I will keep the memories alive.

  • That's wrong. I still remember it, it's a great classical in movie history.

  • LOL he's a one man band

  • It is their priceless characterizations and friendship that makes The Boys so endearing. That is truly the magic behind Stan & Ollie...two minds without a single though, yet at the same time, hearts as big as a mountain!

    Thanks for posting!

    Tit For Tat,

    Max

  • The best comedy duo ever in my opinion.

  • @fonzie5858 No doubt about it! Eberything was so nuanced & the timing they had has never been duplicated. I swear I could spend an hour just watching them exchanging looks.

Y'know now that I think of it - there are no more comedy duos. I guess that speaks to how difficult it is/was.

  • If this kind of acting could be taught, there might be another Laurel and Hardy. But it can't be taught, so there won't be.

  • practice makes prefect!!

  • Nice post.

  • is this a laurel & hardy film or r they just a special appearence??? w/b

  • Most comedy dates. This doesn't at all.

  • great comedians of the days gone by together in haeaven they lay

  • Blessed be God Almighty, that was hysterical! ROFL!

  • however old it gets it will never lose its hilarity

  • Can any of you Laurel & Hardy fans help ?. Trying to find the title which has a scene where Oliver Hardy makes some money on a hand money roller, and then hands the money over to a coloured porter. ?

  • yes i have that whan i will search for the tittle oké you whil awnser fast greetz brent

  • That would be great, thanks Carsken.

  • Yes,i found the title, A-HAUNTING WE WILL GO.

an 20th century fox movie and whas made in 1942.

    No thanks greets of Brent.

  • Many thanks Carsken.

  • classic scene! i loved when he threw it up in the air and blew the last note out as it fell past

  • They haven't met their modern-day match. I doubt they ever will.

  • It may be of some interest to "freereeder" that I went to high school in Beverly Hills with the nephew of Billy Gilbert. Like myself, he came from a "show-biz" family (His father and uncle wrote all the "Pink Panther" movies). Anyway, one afternoon I was taken to meet his uncle, who was then retired and living very comfortably in the S.F. Valley. Mr. Gilbert had a projection set-up in his living room, and we watched "The Music Box", which his friend, Ken Murray ran! Fancy that! Take care. R.J.

  • Is this film in the Laurel and Hardy Boxset

  • No it is not.

  • 3 Stooges did this too in a short. Who ripped off who?

  • totally amazing , i hope when i die if i manage to get to the pearly gates ,these two will be waiting on the inside to greet me :)

  • genius.

  • was there ever anyone funnier than these two.i doubt it.

  • I love the expressions they make when Ollie makes a mistake! These guys are humor personified; love 'em!!!

  • The great duo...no one ever beat the wheelchair scene in Blockheads, or the steps in The Music Box. Both films also featured the unforgettable Billy Gilbert ("Herring" of The Great Dictator). In the present video, many harmonicas are played (chromatics, polys, and so on)...not just those that appear on screen as well as what sounds like a tuba! Of course the "brass" instrument at the opening uses harmonica technology (the "free reed") but is finger-operated.

A new one on me and marvelous!

  • The Absolute Legend.

    The Unrecheable Two !!!

  • brilliant!!

  • hehe...luv em.xx
