I think they're just over it - been talked to death - onto new things. However, the characters remain as some of my most memorable in the hugely long list of TV shows I've ever viewed. Jimmy in particular seems to want to lose all trace of Oz because he thinks the characters outdated, but I think the two writers who did AWP could make a whole new series on just him if they used their imagination. Oz - dealing with todays women, corporates, few mates, youth, and the solace of pubs.

Oz has to be the best character by far on AWP! And you can't help but respect his opinion, because he's right!

I adore the Geordie accent, I'd love to be Geordie. I have a Salop accent (Shropshire), which is a mixture of Brummy, Cockney, Geordie, and of course our own which has words like "innit" "ainnit" "canna" "dinna".

There will never be a programme like AWP as long as I live! Nothing will ever replace it, and we should all be grateful for that! It'd be ace to show this on TV now!

Well I´m german, but I lived in Hexam for quite a while. Geordies will know where that fuckin´is .. Actually worked on a construction site.. how funny is that ;-). If you don´t like the Georidie accent, it will be because you don´t get the little bits and bobs in between. Some amazing people live up there! They made me laugh everyday and help me bear my miserable german workmates. Oz almost makes me homesick! So go watch some clarcson and stop messin´ abuut.
