I wasn't aware that gay marriage was a 'special treatment'. Most gay people just want the same rights, privileges, benefits, and protections accorded to their fellow taxpaying citizens who happen to be straight. Anyway, I am a gay man. I am proud that I am gay, because the alternative would be to go back to the years that I spent deathly afraid of myself. I'm not particularly into gay pride parades, but it's good for people who are.

Is agency or the Article of Faith #11 no longer valued ideas to Mormons? Is this not a case of equal protection under the law? Further, is the Establishment Clause that guarantees a separation of church and state no longer the law of the land? Personal beliefs do not dictate public law. I was raised religious (mormon) but! By the time I became accountable as a reasoning adult and thought for my-self, scientific thought and rational evidence led me to believe otherwise. The concept of "Freedom From Religion" is more important than "Freedom of Religion" The first protects the individual, that latter, the institution, but if you reverse the order, you give the institution license to oppress.
Life does not have to have 'God' to give it direction just a bit of imagination and love!

Why do gays want to get married? This is why:
Tax benefits and insurance benefits not to mention you get to ride in the back of an ambulance.
We haven't actually denied you marriage, marriage legally is a union between a man and a woman. Legally there has to be a GROOM and BRIDE, a HUSBAND and WIFE, gay marriages can't provide you a HUSBAND and WIFE which is what legally it takes to constitute a marriage.

I wasn't aware that gay marriage was a 'special treatment'. Most gay people just want the same rights, privileges, benefits, and protections accorded to their fellow taxpaying citizens who happen to be straight. Anyway, I am a gay man. I am proud that I am gay, because the alternative would be to go back to the years that I spent deathly afraid of myself. I'm not particularly into gay pride parades, but it's good for people who are.
