Yeah, I live in Ireland and it's literally 95%+ manuals over here. Auto's are just frowned upon.

Like I say, manual just wins every day of the week. Better fuel economy, more control of the car, and just a better all round driving experiance!

i'm not sure where you are in ireland, but even in the big "cities", there isn't half as much traffic as there is in an average town in the US. manuals are better but when you're in traffic constantly it gets annoying and it's a nuisance. that's why people get more autos than manuals. but there is still a lot of manuals out there.
