I fly a Sabre 170(PD 150 reserve) with just over 1000 jumps, and low turns hooks and swoops are very scary! They look cool and are fun, but are very dangerous. More people are killed or seriously injured every year attempting low turns than are by canopy malfunctions or other problems. It sure is fun though!!!!

Heard the guys in the speed comps are regularly averaging 100kph through the course in level flight so approach speed would be huge.

If anyone wants this song...use YouTube downloader to download this song & then to convert it to ".wmv" format. Once you did that use Windows Movie Maker to split the audio from the video & then save it as a ".wma" file. After you are done with that you can use Easy CD Creator or Roxio (whatever you like) and just burn it onto a CD or put it on your MP3 player. Enjoy!

Well its not that hard swooping mountain tops with a parachute. I fly over them with wingsuits which is basically more of a chanllnge since I can't flare.

l have a Sabre 150, does that mean yours is a faster canopy?

No, it means your is 40 sq ft smaller than mine. I weigh close to 250 so the 190 is the smallest I really need to go, and that's "technically" pushing the limit as it "technically should be 1 sqft per pound of weight. Were I to jump a chute your size, that would go much faster, if not kill me lol. Most veterans want to jump the smallest chute that's safe for the performance.

yes i would--i was born a daredevil, i also want to go bunji jumping, base jumping, and be a roller coaster tester!(i don't get scared and i love being up realy high and doing crazy stunts, i even put my self in like 20 different harneses on my swing in my backyard then did tricks

They usually just go to the bigger boogies and dropzones, but if you like swooping (extreme landings) ask your local DZ when they're doing the next boogie.

I believe some of that footage is from the CPC (Canopy Pilot Challenge) Competetion. Varying diciplines like

Max length (have to go through 1st gate to qualify)

Max speed (through 2 gates)

Freestyle Swooping (dragging feet in water etc)

gates being the flags.

There is wide array of parachutes for skydiving.These ones are for most experienced skydivers.

The canopies they are flying in this video are offered between 79 and 120 sqft

Anything in between 79 and 109 sq.ft.

A standard student canopy is 280-300 sq.ft. and a tandem canopy is 500 sq.ft.
