In 04, 7 of your games were against teams with a losing record, 3 against .500 teams including Bama. In 2009 Alabama set new records, 10 bowl teams, 2 12-0 teams, beat the last 4 national champs, ALL RECORDS!!!!

@luvlethr Yeah and Shula had his system in place for a good number of years at Bama and could never beat Auburn. Tubberville's Franklin hire is what did him in and so yes, if you wanna play the "Bama was going through a coaching transition game" Auburn has just as much of a case to play it too. (6 > 2). And I'll compare the 04 Auburn team to the 09 Bama team all I want. You can spit out numbers but bottomline the two teams can't face each other so nobody knows who would win or who is better.

For both bama and au fans. Im an au fan though. But the point is this. I have not heard not one bama fan give auburn their credit none this season. For auburn to start out undefeated at 5-0, and enter a bowl game which they did not get last year, and have the most threating & dominating offense, for once give them credit at least respect after they had that big ass elephant and them tide fans scared for 3 quarters. AU has 30 freshmen coming in 2010 season&is ranked 8th in recruiting. AU(10-2)

Though not a win... most definitely a step in the right direction, this program is on the rise and has a recruiting class so far to show it. That was obvious by the 200 prospects it hosted that game and a top 8 recruiting class and climbing.. What was Saban's first iron bowl? A loss by seven, not bad for Chizik (a loss by 5) to a much more talented team ranked 2 in the nation.
