I hate all the shitty subgenres invented but this is genuinely a different genre rather than just something invented by people wanting to sound discerning and cool. Personally I quite like it, don't think everything needs to have a huge build up and then a drop for little dicks at club nights to go "OOOOOOOH" and do gun gestures to haha but each to their own.
