HE rockets just seem to have zero effect on the sproose goose... Somehow I keep missing the damn engines lol

Ugh, this mission is impossible as the one with the Hoplite in Sky Haven. I ended up having to skip it. I blame my Xbox 360 controller more than anything because it makes the controls very jerky. When I played this with a joystick oh-so-long ago, I never did this poorly. Towards the end all my wingmen got shot down so I didn't stand a change against 4-5 German Hellhounds in my Fury. :(

Actually I prefer going after the Beowulf right after the 2nd zep. Just go straight in the direction the 2nd zep was heading, Statue of Liberty just off your starboard wing, and you will see the Beowulf emerge from the fog. The Luftwaffe pilots are very good, at least Veteran level and are hard to take out so if you do it then you still have armor and rockets (if any) and minimal damage. If you get through them then you can deal with zep #3 and the Spruce Goose.

By the way, do you know you can get into another firefight if you let the Goose take off?

In a few minutes, it'll head past the bridge and meet a German zep with a fighter escort, which you may neutralize.

The Goose will then just come back to the city; it's not really escaping.
