just a little, maybe a noob question, but I'm not sure...do you play 4 double bass hits for each hit on the hihat or only 3 (triplets) as in the intro of "Over the hills and far away" (/watch?v=2hwIcYnuIBg)

Would be nice if you answer because I'm fast enough for the triplets but too slow for 4 hits.

Wow, you playerd the footdrums so fast wie Jukka. Also wenn Jukka mal Grippe bekommt, kannste ja sofort einspringen. Aber die Tonlagen sind ja nur für Tarja geschrieben worden.

Sie ist die einzige Speed Metal Sopran Sängerin ind der 5. Oktave die auch noch Wörter ausspricht die einen zusammenhängenden Text ergeben. Leaves Eyes Sängerin " ???" ist nur Vorgruppensängerin gewesen um für quälende Kopfschmerzen zu sorgen. Tarja sollte man Isgaard oder SAybia aus Dänemark mitbringen.

Stagg (DH) china's indeed. The one on the left side of the screen is an 18 inch and the right one a 16 inch. They're the cheapest cymbals i have, but they sound awesome. (I prefer the 18").

Tim, in regards to Drum Kits, I have a Tama Imperial Star right now, but am thinking of Upgrading to a Starclassic, What are some of the benefits of a StarClassic kit, aside from the fact that it's the same Kit that Jukka Uses? :D

First of all, i do not have the same kit as Jukka.

This is a Starclassic 'Performer B/B' while Jukka (and Christoph Schneider) use(d) a Starclassic 'Maple'.

They got different types of wood. What i like about the B/B (= Birch/Bubinga wood) is that it produces much volume and much low tones.

Can't really hear that in recordings with close-micing, but very good from a distance (like when playing live).

The kit sounds great! I dare say better than your first one :) The hihats on either side of the toms look so much easier to play. You should definitely do some overhead camera stuff lol

Oh yeah, it sounds much better than my Pearl Export. That's why i use this drumkit for recordings instead of the Pearl.

Is usefull to have 2 hihat. One is open and the other is closed. So you have the option to play a closed or open hihat while playing double-bass rhythms,

Thanks, about the snaresound: This is the first time i used noise-gates (on snare and toms). It makes the drums (especially the kickdrums) sounds much better because i got rid of the overtones from the 4 tom-microphones.

I have to practise a little bit more with those noisegate to maintain the sustain of the snare.

Dankje! Ik ben er zelf ook erg tevreden over. Ik heb me voor deze opname verdiept in het gebruik van noise-gates. Die gebruikte ik voorheen nooit en dat zorgde altijd voor wat 'rommelig' geluid door de overspraak van de 4 tom-microfoons.

Nu zitten er noise-gates overheen (ook op de snare) waardoor er alleen geluid word uitgestuurd wanneer ik op de betreffende tom/snare sla.

De mix klinkt nu een stuk beter en duidelijker, vooraal de kickdrums komen er lekker doorheen. :)
