I think people use all different kinds of language for all different kinds of reasons that can't just be summed up into monkey spat.
Words like "fuck" can mean whatever you want them to... for example: "oh no I spilled my beer" = FUCK.
Most of us use these words because they are easy to swallow and easy to puked back up.
