The bailout isn't really a temporary fix in the eyes of foreign countries.

The reason why is because they know it will just cause more inflation to the dollar. I've even heard it may give tops 3 months before they need more money.

Things are already getting worse. The unemployment figures for last month are going to be pretty shocking I predict. For those that believe that there really is no crisis; I hope you are correct but my take on it is that we are going to go through a long painful recession. This assistance plan may help shorten the pain and help rpevent a deeper recession but it may already be too late to completely prevent it. It will be interesting to hear what people say once they lose their jobs.

The reason why the bailout is b.s. is not because it'll cost us more in taxes in the short run; the reason why is because the government "pays" for a bailout (by extorting its people) and in turn (in the fine print, that is) takes over a ridiculous proportion of major financial institutions at bargain prices. In effect, a bailout would be a really big jump towards turning the United States into a command (read Communist) economy.
