Hilariously enough, I just finished a playthrough of Super Metroid where my only death was in the escape sequence (ran out of time, and I was right at the ship place. To be fair it wouldn't have happened if I didn't go out of the way to save the animals...).

IMO the escape shaft actually gets closer to Super Metroid's awesome art style than any of the actual stages...though Brinstar isn't bad there (Brinstar Depths, on the other hand...).

It was a trophy. They can't be viewed while the game is paused, so they are replaced by a question mark.

Adventure mode is an evil quest for power.

After destroying the mushroom kingdom and taking the triforce, the player experiments with the triforce by killing samus and blowing up a planet. Then he travels to popstar and blows that up too. The Starfox team try to stop him, but he blows them up as well, then just kicks ass in Kanto for fun, then kills Bowser because he forgot to do it back at the mushroom kingdom.

@invertin Don't worry, if Samus was as armed to the teeth as she actually was in the game super metroid, then nobody in melee would be able to beat her. also, blowing up zebes was something that Samus originally did anyway.

Actually if you hit A while dashing Samus will perform a move that looks like a miniature of something you can do with speed booster called a shinespark.

No Melee, You have to look closely to notice. Do you have Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, or Metroid Zero Mission? Those are the ones were you can use shinespark.

I think the "Big Blue" Course isn't based on the NES version of F-Zero because the developers of SSBM wanted at least one track to be newer, So the based the "Big Blue" course on SSBM, They based it on the GameCube version of F-Zero.

when you press start to pause the game, the trophy can't be displayed anymore (i don't know why, but it just makes a ? out of it).

when you resume the game, the normal trophy is displayed again.

you should try it
