  • Man, looks and sounds fucking perfect. I downloaded it, but I can't seem to get mine the way yours is. Been messing with it for a few day now... I sent you a message with my specs and questions.... Can you offer tips?

  • hey, i have p4 2.8 ghz 1gb ram 224 mo graphics intel 950 gma plz reply soon !!!!

  • @50jido The fact you have a 2.8 ghz Pentium 4, 1 GB of RAM and an Intel integrated graphics processor would be enough to clearly demonstrate this game to be pretty much unplayable on that setup if you were to try. 8-25 FPS more or less.

  • Oh and if my system is good enough is there any good step by step tutorial to set everything up, because im a total noob at this emu stuff, thanks

  • @montana187xxx Check the PCSX2 forums. They give a guide about as detailed as possibly possible on every option of the emulator.

  • @FrosDOwnz Ok thank you very much man, i appreciate the help, do you think my specs are good enough to run it??? Take care and i wont bother you with questions no more, lol. peace...

  • It's possible to, you can't do anything wrong, the only thing is you might want to overclock that processor because otherwise you'll only get about this speed.

  • Hi, im a total noob and i'm just wondering if it's possible to run this on a: Sony Vaio Laptop, Dual Core 2.0, ATI Radeon 3470 (256mb) onboard graphic card, and 4gb ram? And can i fuck up my system with this emu if i dont know what im doing? I would highly appreciated any help, thanks in advance, cheers ;)

  • ive got a intel core i7 with a radeon hd 6880 or sumthing like that and my framerate is shithouse, i get like 25 sometimes and mostly like 35... wtf :/ ive tryed to speed it up with speedhacks and all but still its too slow :/ can any1 help??? oh yeah ive also got 4 gb of ram and im using pcsx2 version 0.9.8...

  • @jakehepp1 That's weird. Only one core is used for the Emotion Engine (EE), and another core is used for the Graphic Subsystem (GS). Use the proper amount of speedhacks, test around a few different versions, and most importantly OVERCLOCK. I had my CPU running about 4, 4.25 gigahertz. It had hyperthreading so it had to share resources between the EE and GS emulation.

  • @jakehepp1 Now I have a Pentium D which is actually two cores instead of one and an actual, physical dual core instead of logically. I still get a pretty shitty framerate on this game so don't feel bad.

  • Is there any way to do this with my specs? I have a P4, but sadly an 82945G Express Chipset Family gfx card, and I get about 40 FPS. :(

P4 3.00 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM and my gfx card up there. :)

Is there any way to speed up emulation? :( I am using the latest version. :3

  • @theowlsofouterheaven Speedhacks and overclocking. If you managed to get 40 FPS you can possibly go beyond that. I can get this working on a minimum of 3.2 ghz.

  • @FrosDOwnz That's only a .2 GHz lack then, but sadly my gfx card is old also, compared to yours. :( I already got speed hacks enabled, without sound I can generally get 50-55 FPS, closer to 53.5 though, in battles it drops to around 40 with just the menus and three enemies on screen, a move of some sort drops it down to about 35-38, but after the battle, it gets around 50 without sound, but sound I really want. :( Would you recomend overclockng? Can you undo an overclock?

  • Hey iv'e watched your video and its good! :) can you give me some settings on mine? My FFX will just go 42-50 sometimes. I tried your settings on the audio and works a little. My Specs are Intel Core 2 E6600 @ 2.40ghz, 4 gb ram, Nvidia Geforce GT 240 512mb 256bit DDR5, Windows 7 x64. thank you in advance

  • FFX running with lots of problem. I've got Dual Core 1.8 GHz, 256 MB on-board Intel Graphics card, 3 GB RAM.

Is it running slow because I am using Windows 7?

  • @electrifier4 It's more due to your settings that you're using, the onboard graphics card does hit the performance, and if you could overclock that dual core at least 400-600 megahertz that would help a lot.

  • @FrosDOwnz Thanks alot! :D

  • cool this works nice, I'm using this as well as game booster and I have a good 60fps on final fantasy X international with the latest pcsx2 , thanks for posting

  • just get a PS2 thats it :P

  • @Danish9248 but PS2 doesn't allow greater resolutions or anti-aliasing, so the image quality is horrendous by today's standards.

  • 2002 hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • why mine do not work like that yours and my pc is like with yours a PENTIUM 4

  • @needyourhelpful My processor is overclocked, I have a good 4 GB of RAM, I have an 8600GT, I am using the ISO from the disc but not the physical disc.

My PCSX2 is tweaked for performance setting and plugin-wise. I had everything set up for performance, including the right build of PCSX2.

It took me a few weeks to get this as the result, because on the older version of PCSX2 (0.9.6) I didn't manage to get decent performance.

Tell me your processor clockspeed, GPU, RAM and PCSX2 vers.& settings

  • @FrosDOwnz How about this.. xD I managed to get 24FPS but.. yeah xD

    Intel Pentium 4 1.79GHZ - 1.8GHZ

    Around 512MB Ram

    GeForce 6200

    WInXP

  • @HiddenAbilities If you can manage to overclock 600-1800+ mhz

  • @HiddenAbilities Wow, I was given a Northwood machine that I'm throwing a 3.06 GHz HT P4 (only gonna cost me $18) in. It's got 512 MB of RDRAM (grabbing another 512 for $10). and I just got an agp X1650 for $27. Though it sounds like the 2.4 GHz P4 it came with with it's 9700 Pro may actually stand a chance with at least 35-40 FPS based on your system. I planned on using this as a low end/back up gaming machine/mame cabinet in case I need to use one of my two machines to do some video rendering.

  • @haxfactory Oh wow pretty good pricing for that. You might be able to pull of minor gaming such as heck... Even "The Last Remnant" on low. A guy actually managed 30FPS on that game with a P4.

  • @HiddenAbilities yeah, i was surprised myself when i looked on ebay. legacy parts are usually so expensive. if i wanted to go for better performance there is always the upgrade to 2 GB of RAM. but 512 MB sticks of RDRAM is where it gets expensive (since it's the biggest and everyone wants at least 2 GB these days). 2 sticks of 256 cost $10 while 4 sticks of 512 costs $65. if i had about $100 to throw in i could also grab either a 3850 or 4670, which would actually make it a decent gaming machine

  • @haxfactory Yeah it wouldn't be bad but the P4 part, I mean it is a pretty okay processor, all things considered, but the thing is like, most games are built for atleast dual cores now and the performance would be horrid on anything else. I think you can play modern games though, on lowest, at about 15-20FPS, which I guess is playable if your not bothered by lag. But of course nothing like BF3 or anything :P games from 2007 would run pretty smooth, but I reccomend getting a new processor

  • @HiddenAbilities yeah, well like i said this is my third pc so and i have a quad core and a dual core, the quad has a 4830 and the dual has SLIed 8800 GTs so i'm not really looking for too much out of this. it's just a back up, which is why i didn't go for anything more. the cost just wasn't worth the usage.

  • @haxfactory True. Heh, thats a lot of PC's. I have a hard time affording one of them, because heck man life is hard right now. 6, or 7 people staying in 1 house and 1 man working makes it really tough xD Specially with less than $900 a week. WAY less.. like sometimes its like, $450 a week. It's a miracle we still have internet.

  • @HiddenAbilities yeah, i agree. to be honest, the two i had before are because of school loans. i built one then i had to build another one for my PC Hardware class. so i built to dual core set up on like $300. i grabbed a refurb SLI motherboard ($50), a celeron dual core ($35), 4 GB of RAM ($60) and 2 8800 GTs (got um on ebay for $40 each). then just a cheap power supply, case, DVD drive, keyboard and mouse. but hey it still can max out crysis so that's a pretty good $300 comp.

  • @haxfactory That's amazing for $300!

  • @HiddenAbilities yeah, it's amazing what you can find for cheap online. ebaying the 8800 GTs was a bit risky but if you pay with paypal there's no real danger. if it doesn't work and they don't give you your money back, paypal will give you your money back instead.

  • @haxfactory Ah interesting. I didn't know paypal did that. Heh, plus they will end up in jail anyhow. I remember one time I tried putting $20 on a paypal account and uh, well it said it worked so I placed a bid on a wii that was $10 and I almost got in trouble because paypal, though saying it worked, for some reason showed $0... and the money was still on the card. It was strange.

  • Jesus Christ, a Pentium 4 at 4 GHZ? Holy shit, that must run SUPER HOT. How do you keep that beast cool?

  • @LastHour1 I have a Rocketfish Universal CPU Cooler RF-UPCUWR. It has 6 copper heat sinks and a aluminum block of fins and it keeps my CPU a nice 120 F max. It used to get 168 F on the stock cooler for a long time so I needed to replace it eventually and now I don't have any problems with crashing. If I add some cool air from the A/C I can drop temps below or to room temperature :P

  • Jesus Christ, a Pentium 4 at 4 GHZ? Holy shit, that must run SUPER HOT

  • Can I OC my Dual Core E6500 on a Foxconn G31MX Motherboard?

  • @KuwaSai Yes, you have the same chipset as me and that motherboard supports a few different Front Side Bus frequencies so when you get the chance restart and press F1, F2, Del or Enter to get to the bios setup, then look for any jumper or frequency options and change the FSB from say like 200 mhz to 249 mhz (this is what I do. The actual FSB is 4x greater because the bus is quad-pumped)

  • Dis game will run ok in my PC AMD X2 Dual core 2.8GHZ Final fantasy 12 runs 60 or 66 Fps in my PC WHt abt dis game? huh Fros...

  • @WaseemDarkness Yeah, it will run fine if FF 12 does, FF12 runs 35-50 FPS on my processor.

  • My system is a hp pavilion p6130a, with DX10, ATI Radeon HD 4300 Series Graphic Card, windows vista 32 bit edition, could you send me a link for pcsx2 with best plugins for my system setup?

  • @morganfoster27 All the links are on the video description. You may need to upgrade Direct X 9 and Direct X 10. The good news: DX10 sometimes performs nearly twice as well in PCSX2.

  • Ok, thanks, downloaded the stuff and unzipped them into folder "PCSX2" onto my main hard drive of my hp pavilion p6130a and updated DX10, now what comes next? what's the best config?

  • @morganfoster27 Okay well put the new GSDX plugins in your plugin folder, open PCSX2 and set it from user directory to PCSX2 folder, and then place your bios in your bios folder and select your plugins (GSDX 846 (try native resolution first by ticking the checkbox, and select Pixel Shader 3.0 if it's available), ZeroSPU 1.4.0 (Nearest, disabled audio processing, 50ms latency, async mix).

Then just use Lilypad 0.1.0 and set the controller as you like.

  • Right now I'm copying my Final Fantasy 12 disc to an ISO and I'm going to see if I can't get it running better than 45 FPS.

  • @FrosDOwnz Yep, I got it running playable at either 4 or 4.25 ghz with HT.

  • Actually I had rounding set to chop/zero and clamping set to normal but nearest and none are like 15% quicker.

  • Do you tihnk you'd be able to help me get this goin on a P4 Prescott HT 3.4ghz?

    HD4650 1GB 2GB DDR1 Ram

  • @AdviceHog Yes! The minimum requirement is a Pentium 4 @ 3.2 ghz without Hyperthreading, you'll get about 50 FPS in speed most places (which is considered playable down to about 40-45)

I will link you to an all-in-one PCSX2 with all the best plugins I use and stuff.

  • @AdviceHog At 3.2 ghz with HT you get a 15% speed boost over not having HT at all.

It always does help to increase the clockspeed, but pentium 4's run pretty damn hot, I just have exceptionally good cooling for mine to keep it at room temperature even OC'd 30%.

  • @FrosDOwnz How many FPS do you think I might get?

  • @AdviceHog I have a build of PCSX2 for you here that should work great just download it from the description. Your going to get a sheer 60 FPS mostly during gameplay like during scenes when people are talking and stuff, but when you hit the Mi'Hen highroad and high-polygon count scenes above 5,000 polygons up to 22,000 then your framerate will hit 20 FPS. Since you just need to run through those it's not important what framerate your getting.

All and all, I'd say it's fully playable.

  • @FrosDOwnz The file only had a bunch of DLL files in it for GSDX sse-2-4

  • @AdviceHog Whoops, I added the wrong link, keep those plugins anyways they're for the PCSX2 package I have. As soon as you see this just check the description again and I'll have it fixed.

  • @FrosDOwnz Haha, I thought I was just being stupid!

Thanks again ;) I'll get back to you with my results as soon as it's finished downloading :/

  • @AdviceHog Okay lol :P I still have yet to test around all the builds of PCSX2.

  • nice!!

    P4@?GHZ..graphic card? settings used?

    specs please

  • @southprk76 Intel Pentium 4 Prescott (Hyperthreading) @ 4 ghz flat. Intel Nvidia 8600GT 256MB DDR3 @ either stock or 713/1782/882 (1764) [just in case anything bottlenecks because my internal res will either be 1280x1024, 1600x1200 or 2048x1536]

It's possible to play this game on the cheapest, weakest dual core you could buy.. basically.

  • @FrosDOwnz

    thanks

  • @southprk76 Clamping set to none, rounding set to nearest, ee cyclerate 3, vu cycle stealing maximum, INTC sync hack, waitcycles sync hack, IOP x2 cycle rate hack.

GSDX 846 0.1.9 SSE2 with full NLoop hack, Alpha correction (FBA), texture filtering, pixel shader 2.0, 1600x1200 D3D internal resolution.

SPU2-X 1.4.0 with 50ms latency and Async mix with effects disabled and nearest audio processing. (all revisions work similarly)

    Lilypad 0.1.0 (2930 svn)
