  • thank you great tutorial

  • awesome tutorial, the amount of black is so crucial, lot of people overlook it

  • The Auto-Curves (or Auto-Levels) is great, but a little dagerous, make black-shadows & burnt-highlights, need after-faded 90% (ctrl-shift-f) and also give over-saturation (unnatural colors)

  • Thank you sooo much. i've been looking for a proper exposure blending video for a while!

  • Thanks Matt. A real eye opening. I do use proper HDR programs (like Photomatrix Pro) and I've got to say your method does have it's advantages. Like on your other tutorials, you do maintain full control without all the usual confusing options you tend to get on the specialist tools/plugins.

  • @sparkz56 Your very welcome. I think both plug-ins and using PS techniques have their place. For instance there are circumstances where my technique won't work as well as other software and vice versa.

I think it's always better to learn things the hard way and also the easy way so that you can learn more tools to edit with.

  • Tnx For Sharing It...really helps develope great HDR processed photos in some sort of purest way doing it...

  • By far this is the best blending tutorial that ive seen. Thanks.

  • @1337likethat Glad you enjoyed it.

  • You're awesome.

  • @magnusmoty Your kind.

  • Great Video!.. I have looked all over YouTube for a video showing techniques in manually blending HDR photos. Yours is by far the best one! Thanks for sharing

  • @dethered86 true

  • @johnchapterseventeen thanks for the suggestion. The problem is knowing where that line is, and for my own personal work I don't mind overcooking my photos.

When I do retouching for other photographers I am much more constrained. I think knowing how far to push an image all

comes down to personal preference and experience.

  • @scholesville Your very welcome. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • try not to overcook the effect, the is a fine line between subtle HDR and a total blow out.

  • @mnor7373 Thanks for the Excellent Tutorial. Really concise and clear instructions and easy to follow... **Thumbsup...

Exactly what I was looking for, using luminosity mask and blending manually...
