Dude i have this exact problem. i really dont know what to do,when i first noticed it it was a day after i got it on contract and i took it back to the phone shop and it decided to stop doing it... but they said they cant replace it unless they see it doing it
@SpacedGiraffe The fault can be seen when viewing a dark background in a dark room. Any brightness will show up the fault, but its most visible on lowest brightness on a totally black background. You should see lines or dots on the screen which are bright and which are dark. It is a hardware problem so dont let them tell you otherwise. You should get 28 days exchange time with your contract provider. The fault wont go away, even with updates!
I got the same problem, and it got worsen.. the darker contrast become totally grey and couldn't see any icons. Did you find out how it to fix it? I went to repair store, they told me faulty lcd & $200 for repair/replace the lcd
@youtub8168 I have exchange 3 galaxy S2 and all of them had the problem to a degree. My 4th also has the problem but its much smaller than what the others had. I think this effects 99% of all galaxy S2! It is a hardware fault, not software so the only way to fix it is to get a brand new phone or the screen replaced which could cost loads. Send emails to samsung and get them to recognise this fault and recall the faulty handsets!
