Thankyou for the jo stick clips, please may we have a slower version of jo kata 1 ? the subtleties of the movements are hard to catch ! I have a heavy oak jo stick which I am hoping will force me to do the movements correctly due to the weight making it harder to 'cheat' correct ?
I'm just a student though, so my own skills are minimal - as in all these clips I may well be showing my own ignorance. Which is good - I record myself to show which aspects I need to practice.
As for your own practice, I think using a heavy weapon is a great idea; just be warned that doing so can lead you to make adjustments to the kata that should not be there.
Always remember - these videos are fun, but if you want to learn this kata, find a good dojo. :)
