Brantley has all the tools to be a good quarterback. So I'll make my mind on him at about mid way threw the season. But we have never had a problem running the ball up the middle with our smaller backs. All in all demps averages 8 a carry and Rainey 6. So no problem there.

Sorry, but if you look at it the public and media judges a player by wins not MVP awards. You are just trying to debate. If Brantley doesn't produce then sorry, he's not going to go down in Gators history. He will just be known as the QB who couldn't win a champioship after the 2 QB's before him.

Well Congoman, the goal in every major sporting event IS NOT to have the most valuable player on a team.... it is to win a championship. All I really have to say about that. If GM or a team owners goal is to have the best player on a team and not win a championship then that's ridiculous. The goal every year for every team is to win the big one.

I never said that Leak was better then Brantley. I meant if he doesn't get us a championship then he will be looked down upon by Gators fans as to why he never got one when Leak did. Leak like Big Ben is a WINNER. His stats weren't godly like Manning, but like Big Ben he won games and championships. Look at John Elway, who was a shitty QB stat wise, but he won games. All that matters to be exact. BTW Big Ben only has TWO superbowls buddy. Same with Montana, not Mannings numbers, but he won games

I never said it was all Leak, but he was the leader of the team that year. Can't deny that. If it weren't for Jarvis Moss we wouldn't have the 06 championship with the kick he blocked at the end of the USC game.

You obviously have not seen the likes of Shane Matthews, Kerwin bell, John Reeves, Steve Spurrier, Danny Wuerffell, Rex Grossman or hell Doug Johnson for that matter. All players listed are leaps and bounds above what Leak ever hoped of being on the football field.
