To my ears, this BBC interviewer sounds a little rude and dismissive. Suu Kyi, on the other hand, is full of grace and intelligence.

It's true. I think there weren't too many rich upper class people from Rangoon (mostly half-Chinese businessmen, junta cronies and burmese "celebrities") to be seen in the crowds that greeted Suu Kyi. It was mainly a lower middle class ethnically burmese crowd that is behind her, but they (still) form the majority in Burma!
Long live freedom of speech, human rights and democracy in Burma (and its neighbouring countries!

I am full of admiration for her. She is very special and appears to have drunk from the fountain of youth and beauty. I wouldn't think any less of her, if she gave up politics. It has already cost her so much.
