Yeah they did the same thing in Stamford, in 1967. They pushed all the minorities and blue collar people out of the city. Over time all of lower Fairfield county push out the working class and low income peoples into Bridgeport CT. Bridgeport is considered to be one of the worst cities in the country, because all the neighboring cities had to make room for rich and wealthy New Yorkers thru the Urban Renewal laws.
December 10 1948 The UN Adopted The Universal Declaration of human Rights to which the USA is a member nation. Article 17:(1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property. Know your rights.
They need to do their homework and start fighting these devolpers through the federal system. If you do your research you'll see that Eminent Domain was put in place for the purpose of things like roads and highways and the railroad , it dosent cover condos , sub divisions and shopping centers. The reason I say take it federal is because these wealthy big time property devolpers cannot be fought locally , they have all the judges and city officals in their back pockets.
If they want the property, then they can pay whatever they have to pay to get them to sell, even if it's a BILLION dollars an acre. That is capitalism. If the government becomes involved at all, it's communist fascism.
