Greetings from Germany "Emerica"! China copies everything we build and sells it 80 % cheaper. There totally fucking us. They cheating! I like you vids and gonna sub! I found the first from 2009 and i was like wow you totally loose weight since then. Congrats!
It makes me sick that people are actually defending china and trying to argue with you after you just gave several logical reasons as to why china isn't a great country.
Thing with Chinese wealth is that there's enormous disparity between the coast and the interior. Shanghai, Guangzhou and the coastal cities are very rich, with standards of living comparable with America or Europe, but the interior is pathetically poor, because there's no industry there. I think you're exaggerating a little when you say they're starving, but things are pretty grim in China.
ive noticed a worryin trend with more and more 'studies' showin how chinas not as bad as everyone thinks it is and how much we have to learn from them and all that bullshit, its scary to think that a government like that is actually becoming more and more legitimate in many peoples eyes.
I dont know what textbooks your reading, but China has been increasingly Free Market Capitalist after Deng Xiaoping. 1/10th of Chinese kids are now considered obese. They dont have free healthcare, workers councils or higher education any different then America to my knowledge. Both America and China are Republics, and both are predominately Free Market Capitalist in economic philosophy, I don't understand why people think they are so different.
I like a lot of your vids and am a long time subscriber but I disagree wit you on this hardheartedly. Please explain how China is Communist or Socialist? They have privatized health care, they have no more nationalized banks, and they have no worker control of industry?
I just came back from 6 months in China as an exchange student and I agree with a of your points. However, I think that while some people may starve there is not an actual famine. Its a bit like Cuba, everyone has enough to eat, barely.
But the general Chinese worker refers to themselves as 'xunu', rent-slaves, because the most of their salary has to be spent on their rent.
China's rising power will destroy the world. Look what they're doing in Tibet, Mongolia, Madagascar and elsewhere. China colonises a country and erases their native culture and exploits the land. I think China could continue to grow and could take over the world and destroy all the people that aren't Chinese, consume the earth, eat everything, and then eat each other until all is left is one. And when that person dies it will be the end of humanity.
You look skinnier to me now, Chris, I can tell just by your face. Might be that you have gotten a better camera and some decent lights. You look a bit like early Mark Knopfler, I see hints of it. If you lose more weight maybe you will become a look-a-like :D hahaha
Anyways been too long since you uploaded dude. It's so few atheists now, RabidApe I haven't seen in a year. PaulsEgo barely makes any, and you haven't made for a while. Atheists become lazy or what?
I'm not sure what you mean when you say that China has chosen to make itself an adversary of America. Are there big disagreements between the two? Probably, but they aren't declaring the US an official enemy the way Iran or North Korea are.
Also, China since Deng Xiaoping's rule is not the same as China during Mao's rule. China still cannot compare to even the poorest western country, but is richer and freer now than ever and that should be acknowledged and encouraged.
The worst harm isn't what the communists planned, but the unintended consequences (famine). Ineffectual leadership can be traced back almost 2 centuries before Mao the country being a western pawn since mid 19th century full of starvation and corruption. The communists were working with a defective nation. Free market probably would've been better, well mixed certainly would have, but its not like this is anything new for China (or Russia for that matter).
maybe we could use pop to feed the starving millions their calories... lol
China's food dearth isn't to do with their economy or politics - its geography man.
PPL tend to complain about you being fat - while others starve The land for the rice fields was running out because of the manner of inheritance - every child got an equal share of the family land as opposed to europe where the oldest son got all the land and the others got none - this weakned nation
I'd say this comment was directed at *this* government not the communists in general - the modern chinese leadership has brought it out of where it was under Mao, doubled the wages...from 1 dollar per capita to 2, but still doubled them.
Haven't changed your style in the last few months, good to see. We're not paying you to make YT vids you can drop off anytime its not fun anymore; people who make them like a duty don't make good vids. The "news" (and the culture of memes it manufactures) is always good for inspiration. Competition breeds improvement, China is still in $2 a day territory as far as its people's welfare is concerned but it might have the power as a nation to get the US going like poor-ass USSR did before it?
Britain managed to be a world power while its people were starving in the 19th C.
Why do people blindly oppose violence, its the guiding force of evolution and civilisation
Rights are a modern invention if they have to be subverted to feed people, so be it; unfortunately china has paid the price in rights and not the reward in development.
Protectionism FTF. Outsourcing=control inflation. Just need make unemployment not so bad. China = partner not foe

The poor people in China mainly lives in the rural areas, whereas the ones that get jobs in the city are much better off. The "shininess" of the cities might be somewhat real actually (even though they probably moved a couple of people, yes..)
glad to see you're not dead. always good to hear your perspective on things. can''t agree with everything you've said here. The US isn't really a whole lot better, we've had to do many terrible things to get ahead as well, frankly some of what you've said about china can apply to the US.
@RayDandy weve never had to murder more than 20 million of out own citizens in the interest of "cultural revolution". thats a pretty serious difference and the kind of shitthat only happens in totalitarian countries.
@chris3325 theres plenty nasty stuff done and blood spilled by the US for national interests. i'm not trying to mitigate chinas bad deeds. just saying we don't really have the moral high ground.
Question:- do you think TJ the amazing athiest is not as good as he used to be because I really liked him back when he was a libertarian but I think now he's just transformed into a whining leftard.
@chris3325 - I'm not to sure about that. The US has become more and more reliant on cheap imports from china to the point where the US economy would take a huge hit without them. At very least I think you haven't shown that China would suffer more from a trade war.
@verstwo2 you have to take into account the point i made in the video about the wages of chinese workers. they simply cant afford to purchase their own products. china NEEDS us or someone to buy its shit. we would be having a bad day if china stoped selling to us and things would get more expensive. im not saying it would be easy. but we would make it. china is just to fragile at this point.
@chris3325 - I see your point about wages and I agree that China would suffer from a trade war. However, the US is not China's only 'customer' and it's hard to say how much more expensive things would become in the US - the effect of rising cost of living can be equal but opposite to a reduction in wages. It's the ratio between the two that really matters to quality of life and not the rate of either individually. All that being said, I'm no fan of China, but I don't think it's that simple.
Maybe I'm ignorant here but with its command economy couldn't china just dictate that everyone gets a free whatever, stimulating internal demand? Have to remember India and Brazil would take their place in world market if they stopped trading - that stops them not selling to us.
@chris3325 The Western media is all about demonizing China. They want to make it seem like China owes its wealth to the West, especially the United States, but in reality the US is dependent on China and vice versa.
@chris3325 When you say China is one of the most evil regimes in the world, you make it sound like China is North Korea. If you visit China, you will see almost everyone is living a normal life, even the farmers. The only problems are censorship and blatant disregard for the poor, and corruption. The young Communists, the twenty-year olds and the thirty-year olds, are the future of China. They are more democratic than the old Communists. The young Communists do care about the people and are
@chris3325 willing to make China better. The U.S. is still 10x better, but China is not some third world nation or Saudi Arabia, which the U.S. supports.
@Chris3325 Great video Chris! And I say this as a former liberal. Besides the Chinese facade, I liked your insight on the economy. I have seen some recent videos, especially on the left-leaning "RussiaToday", predicting the intermediate term collapse of the US dollar, and perhaps even the institution of the Yuan as the international currency.
@Chris3325 (2) I would have expected you to take this position considering your opinion of the federal reserve and unbacked currency, but i'm glad to know we aren't completely fucked (and certainly less fucked than China). Let's just be glad that even if they can exert some economic influence over the US, they don't have your balls or mine!
