  • @autumnwoods09 the neighborhood beauty supply in harlem. They are typically everywhere....but a lot of work!

  • It does look good....I just think if you had a lil more rollers and did them smaller so that they can fit in the pattern it would have came out great! And if parting was done better, I cant wait to try this thanks!

  • hmmm, I wonder if they sell these at Sally's!

  • lovely - I'd like to know where I can get hold of the spiral rods (I'm in the UK, England)

  • @Nibbler800 Sorry, I stay in Southampton and I'm not sure where you live. Anyways, you should be able to find the rods at Captial (Hair&Beauty) Ltd, located at: Unit 4, Belgrave Rd, Southampton, Hampshire. I know at the hair section of ASDA, there just might be rods. I'm not sure, I've never really looked out for them, but you might be able to find them there. Hope I could help.

My hair is tight and coily...I will try these spiral rods to see what my hair will do. I am 3.5 years natural and tired of doing braids/cornrows to mask my natural mane! Thanks for posting

  • where u baoght it ta plzzzz answer (reply)

  • Thanks, I have natural and that was helpful, also your son is precious!

  • I think it looks very nice.

  • Omgosh!!! Thank you for posting this. I bought 1 pack of those spiral rods last year because they were cheaper than the flexi-rods and I didn't want to invest in them b/c I didn't know how my hair would turn out. I got them out of the pack and didn't know what to do with them...LOL...I had the rod upside down and was trying to secure the ends with rubber bands. I gave up after a few minutes and has since lost all the little end caps. I think I'll give it another try now. Thanx.

  • Wow, thanks for this video.

  • @special2fly the point of this is to style our hair while AVOIDING chemicals. I happen to think it looks fly!!

  • when you say"then you put it on the end" when you finihs wrapping it; the end of what?

  • You always have a smile on your face. :)

  • Some roller skates and a shirt that say honey on it? lol

  • I saw those just yesterday in the hair store- I wanted them but they looked so confusing. Thanks for clearing things up. Just one thing, I couldn't clearly see exactly how you secured the end of your curl. It looked like the setting lotion allowed the hair to just stick in place..

  • I like how it turned out. May be an alternative for me to not have to buy curlformers. I have about 5 packages of these that I couldn't get to work right. I will try again soon.

Thanks for the inspiration!! Aww and the ending was sweet.

  • I had some rods like that for years and couldn't figure out how to use them. I JUST gave them away to my baby sis. I should've waited...dang it!

  • O.M.G.!!! This is the tutorial I've been looking for -- for like 2 years!!! I bought these things way back when...and could NOT figure them out. Like you said: there are NO instructions. And anyone I asked online & on hair forums--all agreed they couldn't figure them out either. I think you are like the ONLY ONE who has mastered this product. The makers of this product need to pay you good money for this demonstration! SERIOUSLY!

  • i bought these and never could figure out how to use them - they have been under my sink every since! LOL now i might have to try again :)

oooh ur son makes me want to cry! kisses back to him

  • Shoot, I'm not sure if I have these anymore. I might have thrown them out since I didn't know how to use em!!! I kept asking people how to use them, cuz I REALLY wanted to try them out!

Something's telling me, I probably either trashed them or donated them. DARN! :-(
