  • I am an oldie who used to play guitar when I was much younger. Now I wish to relearn my basic cords and strumming. I have an old acoustic guitar to start up with and I really just want to be able to entertain my friends at bbq's and parties nothing flash but be comfortable with the guitar and just play naturally. Can your online lessons teach me that....and I loved your video too....Bella

  • @TheButterflygirl46 Yeah learning chords by learning songs is the way I learned chords. Eventually you will just find that some chords sound great together. You can essentially write lyrics in any way you like, and you will be able to play along in no time. There are SO many possibilities with Am C G D and F. I am sure you will get the hang of it in no time. I am going to be honest, I am 14 and I didn't even know what chords I was playing until about 2 years after I learned them. Good luck =)

  • @TheButterflygirl46 mmm poontang pie

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks!!!thanks for the lesson!!!

  • whats the strum pattern for the c chord?

  • HEY!! u dint make use of d "c" chord.. did u???

  • D D, A A, Em Em Em Em , D D, A A, G G G G

  • No, you're doing good by the looks of it :)

  • on 2:51 what does he said?

    down

    down down up

    up down

    down down up

is that right ? coz cant get the strumming in a minor right? sorry im just a beginner

  • 1 2 e and up

  • "Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter"

  • The D should be a "pushed" up strum on the last eighth note strum of bar 1 - as follows: d dud du (with D on the final up). Similarly with the G when coming back from the Am and/or C.

  • I'm just now learning this song in my Beginner Guitar class at Community College. Thank you for this. :D)

  • so helpful thank you!

  • i love this video so much

  • best lesson for this song on the tube, thank you very helpful

  • thank you

  • how do you avoid getting that buzzy sound when you hit a string??

  • @skogis06 hold it down harder, it's vibrating on the frets.

  • @skogis06 hold it down harder, it's vibrating on the frets. either that or it's hitting your fingernail. either way, just sinch up your playing and it'll go away

  • great lesson man!

  • thanks you!!!!! :)

  • 111 dislike, even Bob Dylan is still number one at everything

  • tttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssss iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssss sssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gggggggggggggggggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @kalegh1 You are gay

  • dddu du d ddu

  • Great lesson! For those who, like me, have had to struggle with the pattern, the notes you play with Am and C are

    4d / 8d-16d-16up / 16d-16up-8d / 8d-16d-16up

(The first two beats are the same as with G and D.)

The variations consist of leaving out the first 16 note in the 3rd beat and/or dividing the 8 note in the 4th beat into two 16 notes (d and up).

    Hope this helps!

  • Can someone write it here ? I understand the G and D but after that im kinda lost ...

  • Hey thanks. I dont understand how people can say that they are able to play this song within minutes. I am as an absolute beginner working for month to play it but your vid is the best source I found in the internet. thanks

  • Hi This is great, my 10 year old son had to learn this and he was able to watch your lesson and learn it. Thank you very much. Is it possible for you to do the same for "I put a spell on you" by Creedence Clearwater. Thank you.

  • You being able to show the strumming pattern in detail with the counting of strocks is the key plus the way you emphasized the pivot when changing chords

Thank you for taking your time and showing people like me how to play a great simple song correctly

  • Dude, you are spending WAY too much fucking time on the strumming. Just show us the goddamn chords.

  • benim gitar hocam.merhaba hocam nassınız

  • awesome, 5 minutes new song ;)

  • The first time he shows the strumming pattern its down, then down up. and the second time he shows you its down, down down up?? Why did he change it?

  • To any professional Guitar players and musicans, can you learn to play guitar by ear ?
