You rock, would like to do a Vulcan mind meld and suck some of that in....in the meantime I'll just practice.....I like "classical" music on steel string, too. Harpsichords were steel string, of course.......
@BeauJames59 > Harpsichords were steel string, of course.......
Indeed, always LOVED the sound of harpsichord, despite the "monotone"ness of volume (all notes same volume, regardless of keyboard velocity) ...which eventually lead to the invention of the piano.
When i play classical pieces on a steel string guitar, it kind of reminds me of that harpsichord sound =) but more expressive, since your fingers of both hands are directly in contact with the strings.

Well I thought the sound was pretty horrible (although he played he pieces well). At the end of the day it's all subjective opinion, but I really think nylon strings sound so much more beautiful than steel ones.

For the love of God man, get a decent classical guitar. You're a good guitarist, but playing Taylor hybrids and steel string folk boxes really spoils your tone. What have you got against a Ramirez or Hauser?
Are you mad? Thet's the sweetest tone I've ever heard from a mahog top acoustic, coming through computer speakers yet. IMO it suits the period of these pieces.
i agree with you point, but you must realize - not every guitarist who is ABLE to play in the classical is committed enough to the genre, and willing enough to spend a couple grand for a classical.
Hi,
Really liked this piece. Is that a small camera attached to your guitar?

not sure why the sound is so crappy on this one. it doesn't sound quite that bad on the source file. weird. might have to re-do this one.
