My Cybertwin does a great job for all sounds from country/blues to classic rock. It does not have a true 'Metallica' sound so I bought a Boss MT Metal Zone and job is now right. The amp combines well with the footswitch. The stompbox works great with the clean channels (allows for pure heaviness to shine through) and good with the classic rock preset sounds. I play a strat and a les paul through it and have no problem. The amp is plenty loud enough.
got the ct se yesterday for 40th bday. not very computer literate. is there an easy guide to get to know how to really use this amp? typically play one of several mid 80's us strats or a '96 lp standard though a tweed '63 gibson maestro deluxe reverb echo. this amp is really versitile but might be over my head with my limited time as dep. sheriff, to figure it out. any suggestions?
The Cyber twin has about 250 presets and is very editable. Midphobia is a good metally sound but of course it's a very personal taste thing. Don't be afrian to plug your fx pedals in anyway even though it has built in fx. I use a lexicon MPX1 rack FX unit via the inserts and a behringer foot controller via the midi which can controll either the cyber twin or the lexicon.
im also looking at getting this amp. but do u recomend it over the bogner. and is this amp loud . and i herd u have 2 break in the speakers 2 get more bottom end sound.and is it awsum 4 classic rock ?
I played the amp yesterday at Guitar Center and of the channels I tried, there wasn't a good metal channel. But for everything else, it's sick. Nails any blues sound and very nice clear distored leads that had major warmth. Give it a try before you buy it.
I just got a cyber twin, LOVE IT! but can anyone give me any tips on getting a Gun's n roses/marshall/slash type sound? thanks!

is this a tube amp? it emulates tube amps but I'm wondering if it actually gets that heavy low end warmth

It uses two 12AX7 tubes in its preamp. All the effects are electronic.
