  • This was the house that my great grandfather built. It was built mid 1800's before the Civil War. It was an electrical fire that started under the Kitchen (underneath the porch). The orginal Kitchen was not attached to the house. It was heartbreaking to watch it burn. I spent many a summer on that porch. It was the Willis Alfred Lassiter home place, followed by Kirk and Lillian Lassiter, and finally Benton Lassiter jr. Who sold it to the current owner. It was located on Crantock Road.

  • Does anyone know what happened to this home?

  • @rstleshrt Was a total loss. I Think it was being rented out at the time but not sure.
