You obtain more bonuses if you kill the boss without the thunderbolt (and it's not especially difficult anyway)

Oh god.. you missed the thunderbolt weapon!

Unfortunately, that mighty weapon will disappear when you kill the first guardian. It is not necessary to have it in the beginning. But when you finish the game and return to another round, the enemies will be much harder to kill (not if you have a cracked game copy though, then it will be as usual).

Be sure to buy one invulnerablity item before you go to the next level (to get some bonus stuff).
