Steam at it's finest! I am really glad they restored 2719. I think she is the first operating SL in Duluth, MN since that 2000 trip with the 261.

well the 261 is a Millwaukee Road, and it was up this summer too. To the best of my knowledge, the last operating SOO was the 1003, which belongs to the MTM. It must have been around 98 or so that it was up. -Thanks for the post!

1003 WAS the last operating soo steamer until LSRM restored 2719.
@LNERMallard LOL I rememebr that 2000 trip fondly with 261 I rode in the cab out of Deluth returning to Minneapollis
