I really want to wait for the newer macbook pro to come out in January, but I know thats madness, because I'll need a computer when collage starts in september.

Because it always used to be an iPod+iTunes event, I don't think any new computers will be released, nor a tablet. Maybe they're gonna reveal the shipping date of Snow Leopard. I believe they'll refresh the iPod product line and come out with an iPod touch that has a camera built-in :).

Well for the macbook pro or iMac. I Think if money is tight go with a iMac because you get more bang for your buck but if you need to be mobile its obvious.
