Also really unimpressed by this performance, they use too many pre-recorded samples of Oli screaming for this album live.

@abestrue I've heard that whole CD. This is a lot better. This has more melodic guitar and vocals. Count Your Blessings is very generic. This new style is very original, Count Your Blessings sounded like every other deathcore band. It sounded good, but in my opinion this is better.

But if I had to describe BMTH to a genre whore, I would call them metal. Bands like The Ghost Inside, Shai Hulud, Black Flag, and Bad Brains are called hardcore not just for their sound but their lyrical content which deals with sociopolitical issues. Shai Hulud does this especially well.

But they are known as hardcore due to their lyrics just as much as the style of music they play. Shai Hulud was the first band to be considered "metalcore" and Black Flag did drift away from punk and incorporate other styes into their music. And the Ghost Inside is more melodic and not that fast. But their lyrical content is similar.

@ninalily100 Oli's great, but Jona's my favorite bmth member; he's really talented: even though he's the rythm guitar player, he plays a lot of the lead parts, and when they play live (like on this video), he does all the back up vocals and sings in songs where there's singing, like fuck or the sadness will never end. Also, he's really experienced (he was in I killed the prom queen and bleeding through), which I think is badass.
