It would be unreasonable, actually, to expect PERFECTION from imperfect men. God does give us holy spirit, his power to help us, BUT we are still imperfect and not able to perform with 100% precision as you expect. A realistic approach would reveal this to be true. @eternityandforever you make some good points. but why does the Watchtower print so many articles about things that are not really important to us today. i.e. the fate of the inhabitants of Sodom. They have gone back and forth on that one more than a couple of times. in 1988, they printed two different views. one in the W.T. and the other in Insight On The Scriptures. i understand light gets brighter, but why should it grow dim again? also, why would darkness ever be considered light?

Jehovah's Witnesses have published BILLIONS of books, booklets, brochures, tracts... a veritable HUGE FLOOD of printed publications. The greatest religious publishing arm in the history of the world.
Yet NOBODY has here or on the Internet or anywhere else even shown or reproduced JUST ONE that said the end would come in 1975. No Watchtower headline, no brochure, no tract with that headline.
So if the "Watchtower" is a "false prophet" it was a very very QUIET ONE.

It would be unreasonable, actually, to expect PERFECTION from imperfect men. God does give us holy spirit, his power to help us, BUT we are still imperfect and not able to perform with 100% precision as you expect. A realistic approach would reveal this to be true. The bible says it would seem to go on PANTING ON... until the end, BUT it will not be late.

@eternityandforever you make some good points. but why does the Watchtower print so many articles about things that are not really important to us today. i.e. the fate of the inhabitants of Sodom. They have gone back and forth on that one more than a couple of times. in 1988, they printed two different views. one in the W.T. and the other in Insight On The Scriptures. i understand light gets brighter, but why should it grow dim again? also, why would darkness ever be considered light?

He quotes the 1925 fiasco, and false prophecy, from judge Rutherford. 'I made an ass of myself'. It was worse than that. Rutherford decieved millions who had survived the horor of 1914-18 war, into believing they would never die, and their loved ones would be ressurected in 1925. Rutherford was a false prophet, like Fred Franz and 1975.

I was there too folks. I heard and read what was being said at the time. My own brother gave a special assembly talk about 1975. MANY were expecting things to at least begin ending in 1975, and this thinking was definitely NOT discouraged (to say et least!).

He is 100% man AND 100% God. In other words, God came down AS A MAN for the final perfect sacrifice: HIMSELF for all our sins. Matter of fact, his rising from the dead IS the greatest event in the history of mindkind because it shows that man will never die. So in a way, it is "supernatural". TBAM

In a "religion" you keep DOING to earn favor with God. In my relationship, Jesus did it all for me! All my sins are forgiven, past, present and future!
