interesting vid. 1 pound per day for food is pushing it IMO. You couldnt eat any western food at all, it would be 2 or 3 basic meals from street vendors and nothing else at all. Beer money? lol
This is is very helpful information. I like knowing exactly how much it is to live therein, money wise. I'm American but can figure out the exchange rate from pounds to dollars.
@WizzardTV1 Dude, please don't spam my comments. I know plenty of people living on less than 1200usd per month. If you continue to spam my videos I'll remove them. Thanks for your understanding.
Cool tommy I havent managed to get the time to go to Phuket yet, but want to.
Just seen on your profile you like hiphop? I just uploaded a video of me rocking the beat while in my hospital bed- wud love to hear what a fellow hiphop head thinks.
gonna make a bboy upload for all the hiphop/dj/bboy heads out there soon too..
Yeh bangkok can be expensive too. I got bitlucky paying 4000 bhat 4 mine. I'm not in the centre though. Where are you at uni?
Was in Bangkok last weekend I went mainly to rca all im going to say is F**k me its cool. I've been living in phuket for the last 3 months and its more expensive my Apartment is costing me about 8000baht including the bills and that was the cheapest i could find. seriously considering doing a Exchange programme with my uni I would love to see more of the city.
All depends on what kind of lifestyle you want out here.can I also ask where abouts will you be working. Price is often dependent on proximity to skytrain and citycentre. If you let me know Some more details I might be able to help u find a place etc
Hi savingmoneyIN, I am supposed to start work in BKK this May 2011. Im clueless on the situation there. Any are you would like to recommend for accomodation??I'll be based there for next 3yrs.I intend not to buy a car and use public transport.Office is in BKK itself.Thanks.
@savingmoneyIN Hey im coming to bangkok on 1st september :) Going with my brother who has been there a couple of times but has always stayed in budget hotels whereas im looking at the more mid range accommodations .... any suggestions ? Not sure if i want to stay in and/or around khao san road though ... how much you reckon that would set me back, may stay there for a couple of weeks

How much more is it to live near a skytrain? Can you find a place for under 6000 baht?
ScampJackson 7 months ago
@ScampJackson Yes it is possible or you can live near the skytrain for a bit less and taxi it to skytrain..
