  • Lord liftin !! No chicken pickin on the queen's birthday! Youse a double sleeveen for sendin my toes a tappin, and fingers a snappin.

  • @sushimaster77 glad you like it! cheers man! you from NFLD as well?! lol

  • It might not be what I would first think of for a country gfuitar but Brad Paisley has gotten a reputation as one of the best current country guitar players and he tends to a more distorted rock tone. It has not seemed to stop him from collesting Cma awards and guesting on numerous shows from the Merle Haggard Lincoln Center honors to playing "The Claw" as a CMA tribute to Jerry Reed.

  • YOU HAVE A REAL NICE TONE!!

  • Very impressive guitar slinging...! I like the meatier midrange sound of the marshall amps, if it sounds good --don't change a thing!

  • Great video....you have awesome chops and inspire. Country rock on my brother!!

  • You wouldn't by chance feel like making a lesson on the chicken picking licks you do around 1:29, would you?

I've seen Zakk Wylde use that kind of like a million times, but it's too damn fast for me to figure out how to play it ):

  • Vinnie would be proud!

  • cool

  • You DA MAN! Trust me when I say there are alot more than me out here wishing they could do what you did here! Keep it up Young Feller! LOL!!!!!!

  • With playin like this I wouldn't pay any attention to anything remotely negative unless it were from Vince himself or Brent!

  • Man, it kicks ass !!! Wow !

  • nice, from new brunswick

  • close but not just right . try a good peavey amp man with that style of music .

  • really great pickin! you make it look all too easy!

  • Nice picking ... !

  • you should be going through as fender twin for max country twang...not a marshall. a tele and fender twin is like batman and robin....ice and water...lester and earl....they are made for each other. Dont waste your tele country chops pluged into that rock amp.

  • @ming746 you obviously havn't seen my current rig in all my videos...I do you a fender twin! thay are great. Havn't been wasting my time....the marshall clean channel is equally good, but i had no use for the dirt channels. I never judge a book by its cover...marshall rock! for clean and dirty sounds...but i agree a twin is better for the ultimate twang...as is the deluxe reverb as well.

    cheers!

  • @jashobbsie It's kind of like the PC/Mac Wars: Ridiculous. Marshall's clean tone is unmatchable!! I even used a Roland Jazz Chorus for a while and I'd say that they are even in quality, but the roland has it's own special cab sound. But you ARE playing the wrong guitar; break out the GoldTop LP man!! Now there's some balls!!! I just jizzed in my pants.

  • @jashobbsie Screw that. This guy's Marshall sounds great!

  • @BehindTheRope Ya, Marshall and Fender rock!!! Fuck haters, man!! I hate brand police, it's all about tone....

  • @jashobbsie i dont think it matters whether its fender marshall or crate..just dial it in right and have skills!

  • @ming746 I use a Marshall amp with a telecaster and it sounds awesome for country...especially with a compressor to sweeten it up.

  • @ming746 I used a JCM 900 for a few years... granted, a fender twin is nice but alas, that marshal was sweet too...

  • Keith Urban plays my Kelton Swade model 1953 "Brownie" telecaster...check out my website - just google Kelton Swade - find out why Vince Gill, Robben Ford, Doug Seven and many others play mine over the Fender! Thanks!

  • @KeltonSwade VERY NICE, VERY NICE. I see no prices though. I am interested in a purchase. thanks

  • @ming746 They are $2999 - thanks brother!

  • @KeltonSwade I had planed on purchasing a James Burton signature model or a merle haggard signature model. I have not held or played one of yours but if all the greats on your page love your G's that much then I can not second guess them BUT I am a poor man and have saved for over a year to by a merle of burton model so please be honest with me as I am sure one purchase will not make or break you. Is one of yours better quality and twangier than what I am considering buying?

  • @ming746 Mine are absolutely better for a few reasons. Fir starters, I pre-age the wood using a cryo/thermo process. This is done without any finish on the neck or body. It takes 3 months to do this. I rotate the inventory so that I always have bodies and necks for custom orders. The tone from my guitars smokes even the vintage guitars (James Burton, Vince Gill, Johnny Hiland, Robben Ford, Keith Urban, etc, have all said so). I am not boasting here, just telling the truth.

  • @ming746 As well, I finish my guitars with 100% nitro cellulose lacquer, Fender sprays polyurethane or vinyl as a base coat and then lacquer over the top...this kills the tone of the wood and the guitar as a whole. I never do that. I use high end twang king pickups not the cheap ones Fender uses. My guitars are designed not to just look vintage, they sound, play, and weigh very light (from the cryo/thermo process) like a vintage. You would be so shocked as to how how great these are.

  • @ming746 Furthermore, I am going to be in Guitar Player in June or July...they called me because they played one and loved it! Vince Gill has 5 of them! Keith Urban has 2! My tele's are Keith's favorite guitars and Vince says they are the best he owns I cannot tell you how many times somone has traded a vintage guitar for one of mine or sold their Fenders to get into one of mine. You will understand after 30 seconds of seeing, holding and hearing one. All that I have said here is the truth.

  • @ming746 Oh - one more thing - the twang factor is through the roof! It took me a good 30 minutes to convince Ray Flacke that my guitars were not vintage! He didn't believe me and thought I was playing a joke on him. And James Burton? Last summer, when he tried one for the first time, started scrambling through his pockets to see if he had the money on him to buy one on the spot...what's that tell you???

  • How long did it take you to learn how to use that thumb pick?

  • @Rushworshiper92 a month or so with some practice....?

  • Nice runs, touch and tone. All good.

  • Why is this a video response to Paul and Jim Lambe ? U newfie ? :D

  • @coolwithit99 yes I am....I am friends with jim lamb...
