Rodman was the King of cheapshots back in the day with the Bulls but he's remembered most for being one of the best defenders in the league, multiple championships, and maybe his hair.

Raja Bell did clothesline Kobe, but you can clearly see in other highlights that Kobe was elbowing Bell. That doesn't excuse Bell, but it shows that it was direct retaliation, for which he later apologized. Horry never apologized for the Steve Nash incident. How has ONE player injured that many NBA players? Bowen undercut Parker, there's another video of Bowen trying to step on Nash's achilles when he's running by him, he kicks out at Amare's foot.

sportsbabe, yes players use the knee to create more space, but when you're that crowded there is no place to put the knee to create that extra space. that knee was going right into Nash's crotch. if he was able to put his knee in between himself and Nash and force him back then it's a clean move, but there wasn't, the only spot it can go is right into Nash's groin. PS spurs as a team are not dirty

The Knee to Nash's groin was one of his softer attacks, he tries to take out superstars, for example he constantly slides his foot under an opponent after they shoot, some opponents like Ray Allen and Vince Carter and Bowen injured them both "THATS NOT DEFENSE, THATS DIRTY"

I agree with the Raja Bell quote. "If you are gonna foul, foul hard." But that does not mean going out of your way to stick your feet under a guy shooting a jumpshot, which is Bowens signature move. Bruce Bowen is a great defensive player, but also very dirty. Look no further than clips on youtube. He pulls that crap all the time.

Dude Amare is no saint! I was at suns-spurs game 4 and saw Amare intentionally stick out his foot to deny Finley landing space when he was coming down with a rebound. I went home to confirm it on my DVR and sure enough there it was. So if Amare is calling Bowen "dirty" is that kind of like the pot and kettle thing?

is that amare's patented "defensive" move - no, is that bowen's patented move - yes. and you're right, amare is no saint, but taking out space from a jump shooter is not defense. yes bowen is a great defender, but that doesn't mean a great defender is going to be squeaky clean. he's getting a rep for being dirty and i can see why

You're hot, but you're high. Bowen is dirty and he does in a subtle way. Not just the "intense" playoffs, but also the regular season. And Raja Bell retaliated cuz Kobe was throwing elbows and it was a heated 1v1 battle whereas Horry was just frustrated and decided to take it out on Nash.

And sports babe, I think you've seen Game 2 of the series where Bruce Bowen put his feet where Stat's feet were gonna land? Not everyone does that and I can safely say that he's one dirty NBA Player.
