I hope they do exactly what Incognito did with the Twisted Metal series, they developed TM 1 and 2 (under the name SingleTrac) and were really good games then 989 studios developed TM 3 and 4 and ruined the series, Incognito took over for Twisted Metal Black which put TM back on top, I'm sure Zipper will do a good job after seeing how Slant Sux butchered their successful IP, there's a lot at stake here and Socom Confrontation has proven that all it takes is 1 bad game to lose most of the fanbase
I was a huge Twisted Metal fan back on the ps1..God those first two were great in terms of gameplay. 3 was an absolute pile of garbage I agree. I didn't really like Twisted Metal black though. It was way too fast paced and outta control. I did play it for a while though and had fun playing it.

The reason people still play Socom is to play with friends. Socom Confrontation is still garbage with yardsale servers. It all comes down with who you play with. If i don't have any friends playing then i don't even bother putting the game in my PS3.

I gave up on Socom a long time ago but it really gripes my ass to think that MAYBE I'd get back into the game with this new DLC but its FIFTEEN FUCKING DOLLARS. I downloaded Cold Front. Yes, I hate myself. SOCOM's effed up, but it's the PS3 game that most closely resembles SOCOM. It's really the only game I play.

You should try to get somebody to give the dlc to you. Im sure somebody will give it to you...It takes about a half hour to download though, and then you have to pick your guns/armor/etc...all together about an hour. The graphics are pretty stunning, but the gameplay is still just as garbage as it ever was...

I got hooked up with the DLC from a friend. I'll keep my eyes open for somebody who will give it to you too. You can only share with about 5 people before Sony throws up the red flag...From what I hear... This game seems like it was before 1.5...It lags like before and it seems to take more bullets to kill somebody..The hit detection seems a bit worse too if you can believe that. The word back in 2006 is that Zipper was working on one, as well, some GameStop's and Hollywood Video stores show Socom 4 in their system. Blackwido has a video where he shows pictures of a stores computers that show a release date for Socom 4.

The Perk System is the WORST thing EVER to happen to FPS games ever. If Socom takes on anything similar to the perk system in Crap of Doody then they've REALLY killed the series. MAG has more potential simply because it's made by Zipper than the steaming pile of crap that Confrontation is.

Its a sad sad fact...I got the dlc from a friend for free last night. The graphics are pretty fuckin nice in my opinion, but the gameplay hasn't changed at all. Its really frustrating when you see a good game in front of you, but the gameplay is garbage...ugggghhhh!!!

You should try to get somebody to give the dlc to you. Im sure somebody will give it to you...It takes about a half hour to download though, and then you have to pick your guns/armor/etc...all together about an hour. The graphics are pretty stunning, but the gameplay is still just as garbage as it ever was...

I got hooked up with the DLC from a friend. I'll keep my eyes open for somebody who will give it to you too. You can only share with about 5 people before Sony throws up the red flag...From what I hear... This game seems like it was before 1.5...It lags like before and it seems to take more bullets to kill somebody..The hit detection seems a bit worse too if you can believe that. Its just a pile of Socrap with nice graphics...

The word back in 2006 is that Zipper was working on one, as well, some GameStop's and Hollywood Video stores show Socom 4 in their system. Blackwido has a video where he shows pictures of a stores computers that show a release date for Socom 4.

I think I'm done with this reiteration of Socom...I haven't touched it in 4 months. This DLC isn't going to bring me back...and any thoughts I had to atleast try out the ame after the DLC+patch went away with the mention of the word perk.
The great thing about SOcom is the evened playing ground at all times. /6 already changed that with the addition of armor...but it is too much. Run button..perks...armor.....what else can we add that is from another game?

Only two new maps anyway. Sure, it'd be real neato to check out some old SOCOM maps but I've already played Blizzard, Nightstalker, and Vigilance 30 gazillion times. Did those jokers every check out to see how much their game is going for on eBay? Like, $10. And they want to charge $15? After listening to the podcast for Confrontation I don't think I'll get the DLC because of the weapon specialization system (perk system basically), but I do want to try out the new maps though.

The Perk System is the WORST thing EVER to happen to FPS games ever. If Socom takes on anything similar to the perk system in Crap of Doody then they've REALLY killed the series. MAG has more potential simply because it's made by Zipper than the steaming pile of crap that Confrontation is.

I'm not brainwashed and I love turbins vids and the message he speaks. I love Socom (not this /sucks version) but I am a Socrackhead, I'm sick of the maps we have now and need something new. So if anything why don't suck my dick. Go play your modern wellfare 2 and suck on their dicks...i hear they are like lil boys cocks too so you will probably enjoy it more. To me, it wasn't the price that bothered me...I would have paid $100 for a real next gen Socom game...But instead, I put $5 down to reserve a fuckin Bluetooth headset and a shit game...I would much rather have bought a headset on the side, and then bought the game...But oh well, I guess that was their idea of stroking our cocks, since they knew well in advance that the game would be a giant bug fest filled with a total lack of real Socom features...I feel bad for the guys who downloaded it...

I to will not be buying the DLC mainly because i thought when i when was buying the game i would get everything in it that it advertiesed. So to me when Slant six said u had to pay for it, it felt like a slap in the face. Oh by the way where can i find information or a story on why Slant six was fired i am really interested in seeing the reason why.
