I used to be in the same boat as you. But once you play through a game several times and do some research, then you can breeze through the game with no problem. Plus these runs take hundreds of attempts to get perfect. I died many times trying to do the curve jump in this one.

@RadxxRyan oh cool, I know what you mean once I got to the underwater levels I started to get the hang of it and each level got a bit easier. Without a speed run the Opera house can be a pain though

@KKKkiri These comments just keep annoying me. If you're smart enough you would've know that Rad defenitely was one of the first to watch that video anyway. I don't even think Rad cares. The tricks that were availabe 3 YEARS AGO WERE MANY LESS then there are right now, and even YOU could've known that.

Promoting a 3 year newer speedrun at a Speedrun Legend, Who runned this in 2007. And you didn't even had a clue what's this all is called anyway. I would feel pretty akward if I were you.

damn, and i took over 3 hours on this level without knowing what to do, and now by watching this i see i didnt have to bloody go through the fan system. that jump is very tricky aswell at 2:55 any tips on how to complete this jump? :)

I'd recommend saving the game there and just being patient with it. You need to jump out into the open and curve Lara to the left just enough to land. If you curve too much, she'll hit her head on somethiing, and if you don't curve enough, she'll fall to the water.

I think they forgot to take into account the fact that Lara can curve her jump in the air, it's a very difficult jump, I do think that some tricks in other levels and games were put in on purpose.

This is my favourite TR game and my fav PS1 game of all time and this is not one of my fav levels but love the fact that u finished it in 3 mins!

Do you mean he's lucky not to land on the glass shards? No, that's a grab-cancel: hop backwards off an edge while holding Action to catch the edge. But as her waist passes the the original ground level, release Action. Lara lands UNDER the edge she hopped from. This still works if there's one or two squares of wall before she reaches the opening. RadxxRyan didn't need the hang and pull-up first, though.

This also works if you're holding Action as you slide backwards off an edge.
