I've lost enough money to people hitting a flush draw on the river even after I raised them enough that they had to go all-in just t see the turn. the people always bet if they have a flush draw chance.

The only special thing about this hand is spot on ammount Dwan bets at the river.

He goes for 200K he gets called, he goes for 300K it looks even more like a bluff and he gets called again, at 268K he made some brain damage.

But otherwise it's a simple position based bluff, started early enough and baldly continued.

Would have been special to make Ivey drop an AQ or AT, but A6 with 3 over cards on the board...gutsy bluff but also normal lay down

due to aggression, Dwan had a better idea of where Ivey was in the hand, than Ivey did about Dwan, even though Ivey thought Dwan could have air.

when Ivey calls preflop, Dwan is putting him on 88-JJ or A2s-AJs, thats about it, Ivey would have played back with worse, or folded.

Ivey called a raise and limp. so he probably doesn't have 1010 or above. when Ivey calls the flop, its either he has A10, set of 10's, or a weak Ace flush draw, thats it. but 10's isnt in his range at that point.

why ivey almost called in my opinion is this: ive knows that dwan knows hes most likely drawing to a straight or a flush, dwan acts first on each street. if dwan had a hand with showdown value,AND ivey apparantly missed his draw due to the river brick, dwans best play is to chec and induce a bluff from ivey. he bets cuz he can only win if ivey folds. in other words why would dwan bet if ivey has air? dwans river bet is a sign of WEAKNESS not strength cuz rememb ivey most likely has air!

Dwan obviously played it right, because he won... but it seems obvious that Ivey has two diamonds or a Jack as he just calls the flop and river... so the last bet should've been a small value bet (80K?) in my humble opinion, to reinforce that he had it all along and he believed Ivey just called with a draw hand. Awesome hand. A really wild scenario here would've been if Dwan had a Q in his hand, and value bet super thin on the end ($268,000), and Ivey tries to snap him off with a 10 or a 6. Like I'm sure that when Dwan makes that good sized bet on the river, Ivey must think he is polarized between air and Broadway as the only hands, which is why he is contemplating a call so hard. Part of the reason he folds is that Dwan very well could have a 10 or pocket 7s or something like that.
