Humm, a bit unfortunate from start to finish I'd say. Gulf car left the door open then tried to close it too late but the other car was already down the inside and he (gulf) should of conceded the corner. Bit school boy mistake.
From there its just a mess. You are gonna be mentally all over the place and the car not steering straight you just want to get it off the race track. I wouldn't necessarily be overly harsh, its just unfortunate. Few seconds ago he was on for (probably) a good finish.
No it didn't, that the wheel of the yellow car which comes off. You can see the Gulf coloured car's wheel is still in place although it is rammed up inside the arch.
@PHDarren and @stobie42...Juding by the fact that when the yellow car hit the gulf coloured car, its wheel came off....I dont think that the Gulf car had a lot of choice over where he was steering...
@strobie42 Because they seem to let anyone race these days, money is all you need. Usually after their only racing experience has been driving a Skyline GTR from an elevated driving position behind the car they ar controlling on Gran Turismo. That's why we get so much contact these days.

Are HANS mandatory in Elise racing? Looks like it really helped him in this accident

Why the heck is the Gulf-coloured Lotus steering back onto the racing line? I hope he got a stiff penalty!
