When a person hears about backyard wrestling, they don't ask,"OMG, does it look like WWE or TNA and have a lot of chain wrestling?" no, they wanna see violence, barbed wire, tacks, chairs and cheese graters. People look at like the old ECW and mistakenly think it was all hardcore. Alot of it was, but the company did so well (at least for a while) because so many of the stars like RVD, Corino, Justin Credible, Sabu, etc where also excellent wrestlers. I think alot of young guys don't see this- they just see the big spots. No one gets famous for huge spots these days, the last one was Mick Foley falling from the Cell.
