I did every single steps there is to this video ... from 0:00 to 9:01 mins, & when try to play the instrumental just to listen/write too no sound?? ..and when i try to just mess around and record it detects my everything just fine & it picks up my vocals plus recrods but when i play back ... no sound?? soo there's something this guy is missing .. or im jus doin this shit wrong?.

i have a spark,blue mic..... i bought the icicle with it... when i first got it,it worked,then i changed something and now it glitches when i record.... i tried to go back to the settings to see if i could fix it but now i cant...any help plz.... alsoo.... i have a new computer that has"multi in one card reader" everytime i record,adobe freezes on me and i have to start over everytime... once in awhile i get a message saying something about my sound card driver.... any suggestions?plz....

i got a question i have an avid microphone m audio usb and i cannot choose ASIO4ALL on the audio hardware setup it also comes with asio and only allows me to choose M-Audio USB ASIO also when i go to control panel i only see my microphone information volume,latency,etc. Any help with this or this is the only way i can set it up?

Thanks for the video helped me set my device up but I have one problem. How do I make it so that I do not hear my own vocals through my headphones and just the music? Cause when I record I hear the beat and my vocals and it throws me off when I hear my self back though my headphones. Instead of just hearing my self when I am laying the vocals down. Continued...... for me once again its stereo USB headset 1. That works perfect for me. But did take me awhile to figure out why when I exported to a Mixdown it was nothing blank. Make sure before you export, for sum reason you got to set your OUTPUT on all your tracks Instrumental,vocals etc back to master so that it mixes down correctly. Hope this helps!!! Allen

I got everything working great now! Make sure in the bottom right in the session Properties you have Audition Mix selected in Monitoring and smart input selected. Also on the insrtumental track make your in put none and your output stereo and what ever your using for me its USB Headset 1

Then before you record your vocals set your input on MONO and select your Mic and your OUTPUT to Stereo And once again whatever your using to listen to the playback or your instrumental for me

@JBr33zyMusic It could be one of the two things, the bitrate setting or, not to be mean, you. I'm leaning towards the bitrate. The lower the bitrate setting you go, on asio the more accurate your computer will record and play your song in real time but just be aware the lower you go, in bitrate, the more stress you put on your computer. Better have enough ram and a processor to take it. Take Care.

I could be the bitrate.

1. open asio through adobe.

2. Select the sound card you have active

3. at the bottom of the window, raise or lower the bitrate. Raise it first and see what happens.

Sometimes the bitrate is too low for your computer or too high. That crackling has to do with the bitrate.

4. if you have a usb mic, select it and lower the bitrate the the smallest bit you can set it to.

The problem could be low ram or it could be your sound card. Either way, your computer's ram is the main focus.

Solution:

1. Install everything again and follow the video instructions

3. open asio and select the sound card you are using (interface or the one in your computer)

5. at the bottom of the window, lower or raise the bitrate and find out which works best (start with raising)

The problem could be the bitrate is too low or too high for your computer to take.

In your case you don't need asio because your mic connects through your audio interface via xlr. Typically when you connect midi or xlr devices through your interface, your devices are automatically active. Under preference just make sure that your audio hardware setup matches your interface both input and ouput. And finally, when you select a track do the same there your input the mobile pre and the out put mobile pre

You got to make it active in the asio. So the two devices that should not be idle is the sound card you are using (computer sound card or interface) and the mic. remember the mic input should only be active and the output should be idle (off). And last lower the bitrate on your mic the lowest so you can have the most accurate record.

It's a MXL USB Condenser Microphone, model .006. I got mines in 2008 for $150 usd. You might be able to find a cheaper mic but I think you should spend as much money as you can on a good mic. You won't grow out of it as quick as a cheap mic.. I only use my MXL microphone for videos and music pre- production.

Its a Mxl Usb Condencser mic, most condencer mics are clearer than dynamics. I wish I had the ones that the industry has. I can't even imagine how clear that thing would be.
