@apango2000 Norman Finklestein attempted to slur professor Dershowitz unsuccessfully by claiming Dershowitz had plagiarised a book called 'From Time Immemorial'.
How did Finklestein discover this? By looking in the reference section of Dershowitz's book.
So Dershowitz referenced 'From Time Immemorial' a book that contains 10 years worth of research on the ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS relating to the Israel/Palestine Conflict.
Finklestein appeals to all those who share his hatred of Jews.
Furthermore Dershowitz accounts of the Israeli Palestinian conflict fly in the face of serious reports from Amnesty International and even with Israeli human rights group.
Dershowitz is nothing but a fraud, and labeling his critics as haters of jews is nothing but childish propaganda that convinces no one.
@apango2000 Ah you mean Amnesty International and Israeli human rights groups that are funded by the EU? The continent reliant upon Iran and Saudi Arabian oil that want to see Israel wiped off the map?
So yes, calling a spade a spade seems to be off-limits where Israel is concerned...
Finklestein and his merry band of historical revisionists have been exposed
You have demonstrated absolutely nothing with the exception of you lack of knowledge on the subject and your ideological bias.
Dershowitz may have been successful in his defense of people and causes in which the overwhelming evidence pointed to their guilt, in the case for Israel and the genocide it committed in Gaza, he fails miserably.
Finkelstein is a scholar, as such he studied Dershowitzs book and found coincidences with Joan Peters book that could only be explained by plagiarism (same footnotes, same identical quotes containing the same exact errors, same account of events who contradict historical facts, etc.)
Joan Peters book has been itself labeled as a fraud and propaganda by reviewers in the western university media and many other israeli scholars such as historian Y. Porath.
1) does it? read through the oslo accords, through later peace negotiations. the side who always rejected the negotiations is the Palestinians
2) what world court judgement is that?
3) "occupied", from who exactly? the west bank was held by the kingdom of jordan, which doesn't want it back. and there is only one soldier in Gaza, and he is a captive of Hammas,
01. Why does it keep rejecting the (practically) unanimous worldwide consensus for a two-state settlement expressed clearly through the annual U.N. votes?
02. Why has it ignored the 2004 World Court judgment (unanimously agreed upon by all 15 judges - even the U.S. one)?
03. Why does it continue building settlements in the occupied territories?
04. Why has it ignored the Arab states' peace initiatives?
3rdWorldUnite you're not telling the truth. Israel is the ONLY democracy in the Mid. East where Jews, Arabs, Muslims, Chrtistians, Druze, gays and women have full civil rights.
Does Israel make mistakes? yes, but being one sided on it is vicious.
Fact: More Muslims are killed in a single conflict between 2 nations (ex: Iraq-Iran war) than any Palestinians killed by Israel in 60 years of existence!
When Palestinians want a state more than they wanna destroy Israel there would be peace.
It is about time that somebody finally started treating Israel positively. She has been victimized for so long and oil-money has done such a job of painting the victim as the victimizer that it is shockingly refreshing when a drop of truth manages to fall through the cracks of the anti-Israel media-elite who control what we hear almost all of the time.

Human rights? Just look at all the atrocities the Israelis carry out on the indigenous peoples of the region. None of these people want them there because of that.
Dershowitz is a shrewd lawyer. Hence, he is good at twisting the truth in order to win his case.
We do not need Dershowitz to persuade us of anything. We just need the facts, and then we can formulate our own opinions based on that.
Dershowitz want to win his case: we want to win the truth. Big difference.
Liberals hate success---because deep down they are Christians who think "the last shall be first." And they don't get more last than the Arab world.

I have demonstrated absolutely nothing?
Which is why, I presume you've not answered a single point I made, other than attempt to take the argument somewhere else.

Alan Dershowitz's books are really really good. I would recommend them to everyone. They are historically accurate and well argued.
