He is more defensive then Walcott who makes more of an impact from the bench. I think Wenger thought his transition from right back to right midfield would have less of an impact on him: we definitely need a new winger!!

seriously.. what is it about having well known signings or "world class" players. its all about how the player performs in a team, depending on the set up. eg, even though tevez is regarded as more 'world class' than eduardo, he wouldnt have fitted in to our gameplan. try and remember the football we were playing last season. 1000's of chances, just needed someone to finish them off. thts why eduardo will be 'world class' for us.

Eboue was great in the champs league run but had hoyte been there for example, do you really think we wouldn't have gotten through anyway? Dixon and Winterburn were not great players, the were great professionals. Same with Gary Neville. All you need in the full backs are solid pros because it is the least important football position.
pointless signing. a right back has never and will never win a team a title. I spent 8 years playing there from 9 to 17 years old and believe me when I say I could only make a minimal contribution to the match because I could never go high enough to get goals and assists and most of the defensive play went through the centre backs hence why top centrebacks go for 30 million and top full backs go for a 1/4 of that.

Wenger has been Arsenal's greatest ever manager but he had let standards slip lately. Hleb, Rosicky, Adebayor, Gallas, Baptista etc have not been great signings. It is so unlike Wenger to get that many wrong in such a short space of time. There are no out and out winners at the club anymore. I am worried that Wenger has lost it but I hope not. great players do not need time to gel. Overmars, petit and vieira didn't and pires, henry and bergkamp only needed 2 months. I had the pleasure of meeting Toure once. He is the sort of guy you would love to hang out with, he was always laughing in the 5 mins I met him in Harrods. However, I would not follow him into battle. He also has very little confidence in his great ability according to wenger. Henry was no leader either though. Adams was, Vieira was etc. Don't forget, Bosko Balaban had a superb scoring record in Croatia, almost the same as Da Silva, and look what happened to him in the prem.

i think this is the one problem arsenal will have next season. i am very optimistic about the team, as we have the potential to rip apart any other side on a good day, but im not sure if we have the winning mentality installed in us which will help us scrape out games like chelsea did last year. Giggs and scholes were instrumental in winning man u the prem last year with their experience, but we do not have that yet. this is the one and only worry i have for arsenal next season.

Hleb has such potential he just can not pass, one of the best holders of the ball but really needs to get his act together regarding passing and shooting. I got behind them from my ridiculously expensive season ticket seat and was there when cesc missed two open goals and when rosicky and adebayor missed open goals and when we had over 30 shots on goal and still couldn't score. We needed to make a statement this summer in the transfer market and we didn't. Instead we stole our best player and have brought in unproven, almost unheard of players. We shouldn't accept this, Arsenal deserves better.

I started supporting the club in the George Graham days when I was 8. They weren't great then but had such fighting spirit. The 94 cup winners cup run was full of courageous performances. Arsenal are in the Champions League by qualifying fourth. Just not the CL group stages. Arsenal have to play two legs, against a usually crap team, to qualify for the CL group stages.

nxt season, i think we should rely on rosicky and fabregas to get us goals from midfield, as they wre starting to do that more, and let hleb and the others focus on the build up play. last season we didnt need a superstar like ronaldo on the wing, we needed a striker who could get the ball in the net. in the future, a winger who can score goals is essential but 4 next season i think wenger is doing the right thing.
ok, thats true. but last season we lost so many easy goals and were 1-0 down in the first half. if we can build a solid defence, then we can focus on the attacking. man united now have a very solid defence and that makes them champions.
hleb is still improving. it was only his 2nd season and he looked a lot better than in the first. i agree a lot of the arsenal players need 2 get more confidence to shoot, ie hleb and others, but our build up play is fantastic. we were creating 1000s of chances last season, and that isnt going to change unles fabregas goes. i believe we could challenege for 2nd/3rd this season if things go well.
next season we should be finishing those chances a lot more. Da Silva is a fantastic finisher and hopefully he'll settle in the premiership quickly, and all those chances will be converted into goals. i really think arsenal could prove all those critics wrong next season.
i heard were gona play sagna at right back, and move eboue up to right mid. sagna is better at defending, eboue is better at attacking. this meaans eboue can attack freely without having to think about defending. he can score goals as well. i do agree we should still try and get another winger/striker though. and hleb is not useless.

Sagna has apparantly had a medical at Arsenal follwing the clubs agreeing a fee of about 6 million. I reckon Wenger has bought Sagna with a view to playing him right midfield, or alternatively at right back and pushing Eboue to right mid.
I think he would be a great buy solid player bring him in arsene......need a tough tackling midfielder and i will be happy! we have some great talent at the club.

seriously.. what is it about having well known signings or "world class" players. its all about how the player performs in a team, depending on the set up. eg, even though tevez is regarded as more 'world class' than eduardo, he wouldnt have fitted in to our gameplan. try and remember the football we were playing last season. 1000's of chances, just needed someone to finish them off. thts why eduardo will be 'world class' for us.

Eboue was great in the champs league run but had hoyte been there for example, do you really think we wouldn't have gotten through anyway? Dixon and Winterburn were not great players, the were great professionals. Same with Gary Neville. All you need in the full backs are solid pros because it is the least important football position.

pointless signing. a right back has never and will never win a team a title. I spent 8 years playing there from 9 to 17 years old and believe me when I say I could only make a minimal contribution to the match because I could never go high enough to get goals and assists and most of the defensive play went through the centre backs hence why top centrebacks go for 30 million and top full backs go for a 1/4 of that.

Wenger has been Arsenal's greatest ever manager but he had let standards slip lately. Hleb, Rosicky, Adebayor, Gallas, Baptista etc have not been great signings. It is so unlike Wenger to get that many wrong in such a short space of time. There are no out and out winners at the club anymore. I am worried that Wenger has lost it but I hope not. We will know 10 games into the new season.

great players do not need time to gel. Overmars, petit and vieira didn't and pires, henry and bergkamp only needed 2 months. I am sick of us signing a player we have to wait at least a season to see earn his money. That is just making excuses. Adebayor has had a season and a half as well. Top players adapt to any league quickly, that is why they are top players.

I had the pleasure of meeting Toure once. He is the sort of guy you would love to hang out with, he was always laughing in the 5 mins I met him in Harrods. However, I would not follow him into battle. He also has very little confidence in his great ability according to wenger. Henry was no leader either though. Adams was, Vieira was etc. Don't forget, Bosko Balaban had a superb scoring record in Croatia, almost the same as Da Silva, and look what happened to him in the prem.

I will give him a chance but we cannot afford to have another season where we accept 4th best. where will we be if we keep saying our players need more time? we are a great club, we need to have players that uphold our great tradition and I just don't see any except cesc and toure. i think this is the one problem arsenal will have next season. i am very optimistic about the team, as we have the potential to rip apart any other side on a good day, but im not sure if we have the winning mentality installed in us which will help us scrape out games like chelsea did last year. Giggs and scholes were instrumental in winning man u the prem last year with their experience, but we do not have that yet. this is the one and only worry i have for arsenal next season.

Hleb has such potential he just can not pass, one of the best holders of the ball but really needs to get his act together regarding passing and shooting. Rosicky needs a season with no injuries and he will be class...As for saying adebayor isnt good he was brilliant at times last season and he will continue to b. I do agree with baptista but at the end of the day we had him on loan & didnt buy him after the loan,his standards clearly not slipping. Stop slagging the boys and get behind them!!!!

I got behind them from my ridiculously expensive season ticket seat and was there when cesc missed two open goals and when rosicky and adebayor missed open goals and when we had over 30 shots on goal and still couldn't score. We needed to make a statement this summer in the transfer market and we didn't. Instead we stole our best player and have brought in unproven, almost unheard of players. We shouldn't accept this, Arsenal deserves better.

I started supporting the club in the George Graham days when I was 8. They weren't great then but had such fighting spirit. The 94 cup winners cup run was full of courageous performances. we havnt recovered losing vieira, we have finished 4th for the first time ever under wenger in 2 consecutive seasons since he left, forget about the champs league run. we have replaced the worlds greatest striker with a 24 year old brazilian reject who has scored all his goals in the croatian league. arsenal fans have got to stop settling for second best. My opinion is that we haven't qualified yet, we still have to make sure we beat the opposition in the 3rd round qualifying tie, whereas others think we are already in the Champions League.

nxt season, i think we should rely on rosicky and fabregas to get us goals from midfield, as they wre starting to do that more, and let hleb and the others focus on the build up play. last season we didnt need a superstar like ronaldo on the wing, we needed a striker who could get the ball in the net. in the future, a winger who can score goals is essential but 4 next season i think wenger is doing the right thing.

hleb is still improving. it was only his 2nd season and he looked a lot better than in the first. i agree a lot of the arsenal players need 2 get more confidence to shoot, ie hleb and others, but our build up play is fantastic. we were creating 1000s of chances last season, and that isnt going to change unles fabregas goes. i believe we could challenege for 2nd/3rd this season if things go well.
