God was going to kill us all[ because he knew that humans were selfish] until Jesus offered his life for every last single human being on earth. I quit drugs, smoking, alcohol, religion, and God all at once. There was nothing supernatural about it. I just quit. I was tired of the bullshit that all of them bring.

I find it interesting that so many addicts say that God helped them quit..if he helps them quit, why not just make it so that they don't have a problem in the first place?

God can't make you quit drugs anymore than the Tooth Fairy, Santa, or the Easter Bunny can. That is something you have to want to do.

My brother has been in jail 7 times now and was just court ordered to rehab for 3 months. He was raised in church and knows where he needs to have his set but chooses to follow in the world. I pray that he will have a radical experience with God that will open his eyes and soften his heart.
